Yeah. We would not let them sign unless we knew they could clear. They’re being stingy with numbers so why on earth would they be willing to lose a counter like this.

Fwiw he does burn an LOI and we can only have 25 of those (more w countback) but I dont think we burns one of our Initial Counters (again 25 plus Countbacks) until attends the school on financial aid the first time (fall semester probably for him).

So.... if he signed then didnt qualify we could use that seat for another Counter such as a transfer. Make sense?

According to TOS the rule changed a few years ago and it now does burn the counter hence why Auburn taking Moore is questionable as he signed with both them and a JUCO school if he didn't qualify.

I don't believe we would have signed Henderson without first making sure he was clear

Im aware of the Initial Counter Rule.

They are actually two distinct rules though, even though people intermingle them in their minds, primarily bc the counts are the same most of the time.

He burns an LOI but doesnt burn an Counter.

Both have a max of 25 of course.

UF had as many, UGA had as many, lsu had more. We both know that, at least in part, Auburn went to other states because they can't recruit against Bama in their home state.
