He sub/unconsciously gets jollies saying it so he was putting it off on Andrew and adding in his mother’s basement to deflect...therefore transferring his own state of mind to someone else or their thoughts/situation/mindset to hopefully poke fun at someone to draw attention away from himself...like how closeted gay ppl are angry at themselves and call everyone a F*****...but that was a joke too...CONSUMER WARNING**any inference of my implication of transference was meant to be taken in jest and not seriously

That makes zero sense. If he can't qualify to play football bc of poor grades, he isn't getting into UF. Period. This isn't Barn or Cowbell with Community College entrance requirements.
