You can say it is July all you want but the recruiting schedule has changed. Almost all of these kids stick w their commitments, except the ones committed to scUM. The real signing day is December now, with very few leftovers. Obviously the coaches are busy in the fall.
You can declare "it's only June" but we will have probably 90 percent of our class soon.
On the other hand, there's a lot of risk with this compressed recruiting schedule. Kids are getting ranked and committed as juniors. You don't even get to see how they develop in their final year of high school before they're committed. If you try to wait and dont have the recruiting mojo, you get Buttered and stuck w HS backups stolen from D3.
There's a reason that Saban opposed this loudly and vehemently. He wanted to watch kid's senior season and start cherry picking in December and January.
