Great points. I kept waiting for him to slip up and say “miami”. And I do agree that reality will set in for many of these kids and things will go south in a much different, and much quicker, way. Seems like a defamation threat could be possible though, if there’s an actual business contract and a kid goes too vocal about it. Hidden elements of a contract aren’t illegal, nor is ignorance to such transactions a valid defense. So I’m not sure how some of this plays out.

Either way, hopefully it all happens sooner rather than later. This is dreadful in its current state.

They’re about to get Malik Bryant and might poach Aguero from UGA.

Meanwhile, (Mastur)Bateman is just jerking off. What a disaster this guy is. LB recruit Ausberry gave an interview talking about how he talks with Raymond and Toney. No mention of Bateman or Peterson. Kid noted he knows how small the LB room is and that he would play right away and he still doesn’t give a crap about coming here. Bateman has brought absolutely nothing to recruiting. He’s got to go at season’s end. Sorry, but there is no place for sentiment when we’re trying to play by the rules and everyone else is whispering promises of big money rollouts to these kids. BN has to show us he’s not dorky Dan and cut the dead weight. Hate to single someone out but this is ridiculous.

Gods, now I really dislike him….

OL recruiting needs to improve but they did get a decent haul of players last year and should get at least a couple more this year.

Our lone LB last cycle, James, was not brought home by this dude. And he is striking out across the board this time. scUM and UGA are laughing at us….

If Bateman was at UNC, he has to have had some sort of recruiting footprint in the South. I’m just not seeing it. It’s painfully obvious where the weak link is in our staff’s recruiting chain. I guess we’ll have to see if he can “coach em up” but we are criminally thin at linebacker. The sins of fat Todd are not being ameliorated, but rather compounded here and that is inexcusable.

Oklahoma has now taken the lead for DL LeBlanc out of Kissimmee. We may only get one of the Osceola trio, if any.

We still lead for IMG DL Norman and one other, but the number of likely signings has shrunk.
