Hole you mean my 3 million dollar home on crescent beach? You're not mocking anything . It would be like a headline " surprise a black boy wins the spelling bee " The title of the thread is racist stereotyping . The comments about Black areas of Jacksonville are racist . Just because I don't spend most of my waking hours on this site like you do doesn't mean I "live in a hole " My advise to you would be get a life . There is a whole world outside your trailer park .

The irony of lecturing others on using hurtful stereotypes, claiming yourself richer and better than them, then ending the rant with a stereotype insult.

It looks like racism is alive and well on gator chatter ! What does the color of his skin have to do with him being fast . You must be a Trump robot !
The boy's nickname is White Lightning. That alone is enough to justify the title....Now I won't comment further, I am getting ready to watch White Men Can't Jump.

I'm a retired JFRD, and Station 22 & Station 31 were/are the two busiest stations in the entire city.

My craziest experience was pulling in and having a chick that looked like she fell down a razor blade factory conveyor belt come running out from by the pool holding a kitchen knife crying and saying "I killed him, I killed him." She didn't - although when I and the other neighbor arrived dude was wishing he was dead - gut stabbed. Apparently there was a heated disagreement over who was getting the last of the crack. EMTs showed up fairly quick but were not getting out of the ambulance until the cops arrived. I didn't blame them. It took them over 30 minutes to get there. It is not difficult to believe that a stabbing was the least of their concerns that day.

When I got back upstairs my wife was already packing ****.

I hate Jacksonville. Even the beach sucks. I like Crescent but Flagler is better. I like the spelling Bee reference. I would cheer the black kid winning the spelling bee like the white kid winning a sprint. I like underdogs or better yet someone breaking the cultural mold. Maybe I should explain to Gern what real racism is.

I'm a retired JFRD, and Station 22 & Station 31 were/are the two busiest stations in the entire city. When I first got promoted I went to Station 17 in Woodstock (just off I-10 near downtown, but still on the westside) and I ran my ass off - we'd do 15+ calls/shift, never slept at night. Gunshot wounds, major/high speed car wrecks, chest pain, difficulty breathing (you show up and they're smoking a cigarette), stabbings, robbery's, assaults, police incidents. I'd transfer to 22 or 31 occasionally and get killed! If I got offered overtime at one of those stations I'd quickly turn it down (OT was worth over $1000/shift)! The Wild Westside! I often tell people, the westside of Jacksonville is as ghetto as any city in America!
I was a fire fighter for 6 months before I got married. My wife didn't like the 24 hr shifts so I quit....anyway I thought you would appreciate this. The first 2 months my shift never got a single call. The shift before mine would get 6 or 7 calls the shift after mine 3 or 4 but mine never got a run. The other guys used to beg to work the same shift I did.

Jax story that includes sparsely populated Orange Park - around 1960. A group of classmates, roaming around sundown (trespassing), decided to turn down this underbrush covered road in the O.P. wilderness. Headlights thrashing through the brambles suddenly hit a plat of perfectly trimmed grass. Glistening in front of them was a 10-12 foot high expensive chain-link fence, with pegs of barbed-wire extended on top. Walking the perimeter, around back, they saw a miniature graveyard with ledgered headstones. But the graves were short, only 3 feet long.

By now, someone had found a "cut-gate" in the fence. In they went. First window, they saw a large room with huge thick-barred cages, slick concrete floor, sloped towards a central drain.?? Next room was glistening with stainless steel paneling, similar slick sloped floor to drain. There were stainless steel short autopsy tables.

Suddenly, the boys' figures got hit by a bright, huge flashlight beam - military issue. A fully uniformed military guard had caught them. He ordered them out. Informed them that this is a secret military primate research center - operating from around 1920 to around 1943? Around 1944, it was totally moved to Atlanta (Emory U offshoot) and given the public name, "The Yerkes Primate Institute". In the Orange Park facility, the world's first ever genetic primate "tampering" occurred - female chimps inseminated with human donated sperm. No offspring (if any) lived long (hence, small graves). The required secrecy for such "God-playing" in the 30's naturally generated all types of rumors of nefariousness.

The guard swore the "Ribault/Andrew Jackson" boys to secrecy, "or else" ?? Then let them go. Note that this spot was closed around 1944 and still for 15 years, the military provided upkeep and armed guard. I guess, maintained to preserve trace evidence that new CSI-like techniques could rediscover stuff, exhume the bones ??

Now, an aside, one Ribault boy, years later had an experimental psychiatrist uncle, Admiral in the Navy who was the first to "co-raise" a newborn chimp, crib-by-crib with his on newborn child. He interacted samely with chimp & child and noted the landmarks - like the chimp learning to perform useful tasks at an earlier stage than his dumb kid. His little girl grew up to be mentally disturbed throughout her life .... the chimp went on to fame as USCe's headcoach.

Although little-spices added, this is a true story. There's research "footprints" to it all.

That's not necessarily true, even if I had a big ole dick I'd still tell lies on message boards.
