Iguanas, the ‘Chicken of the Trees,’ Skitter Onto Florida’s Menu

Chicken vs Iguana

might be a bigger controversy than Dukes vs Blue Plate ;)

or not
I’m gonna hold out hope that chickens never get too scarce. I’ve tried a couple of out of the ordinary foods in my time, rattlesnake and grasshoppers for example. I didn’t acquire a taste. If it got so bad that we had to live off of such, I’d do what I had to do. But first I’d start frog gigging again and looking for gopher turtles.

Spaghetti squash..... baked, shredded and stuffed with hamburger, black beans, corn, onions, and fresh grated parmesan cheese.

Definite stray from the usual path in our house. Beef fajitas with romaine, avocado and red cabbage.

Cigar City Guyaberra.

That looks superb man. Would be hard to think of anything to critique.

And the wine?

Usual. Charles Krug Cabernet. Not a perfect fit at all, but it was nasty out, wife has been sick, and my MIL was in town. So I wasn't able to get out for anything else, and it wasn't the type of night to bust out something special I'd been saving. I need to be more adventurous like you with new wines, but always fall back into the same few bottles.

There is a downside with my adventures with new wines; you guys only hear about the recommendations!
