What are we 2......3 years removed from all the LSU fans wanting him fired? Amazing how those cajuns function on having only a short-term memory!

The new Larry Coker sure is getting paid. Good for him. I think that’s good for us too but we’ll see. Doubt he finds another Brady/Burrow combo anytime soon.
Nahhh.... new Grasseater maybe. Ogre can recruit. and he speaks the language of corn dog.

You fail to remember Coach O can recruit, LA HS Talent stays in LA...and this small state produces talent.

He also...unlike many coaches is willing to adapt.

He's a local boy from Larose, LA down Bayou Lafouce. He talks their language and not only embraces the culture he is the culture.

Now a season like 2019 is one in a lifetime but he'll win games.

And who else? Saban left here, Jimbo turned it down...heck most of y'all think Louisiana is a Dump...Coach O is a perfect fit.

At least their happy...the Gator Nation will never be satisfied with their HC.

Ogre > Jimbo
Ogre >>>>> Chizik

Sometimes you get lucky, but Ogre has improved at every stop and has landed at the perfect program for him. He will adapt and LSU will catch lightning again. Hopefully Mullen will keep up and that game becomes a lot Tennessee was in the 90s for us.

A big difference is that the really elite coaches like Saban, Dabo, and Meyer know how to manufacture lightning. They’re pitchers not catchers. Ogre has not proven he’s that kind of alchemist yet. But he’s no Jimbo Chizik either.

Last season many lsu fans were wanting him gone, especially after losing to awful a&m in embarrassing fashion to end the season.

If mullen had just won the SEC, gone undefeated doing so, made the playoffs, won the national championship by routing both playoff teams in the process and broke NCAA records for offense, I'm pretty sure no one would be complaining. As soon as that happens for the gators, you can finger wag. Until then you're just making strawmen.

I don't know of any states in the south that have income taxes.

Most of them including, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and the Carolinas, have state income taxes. There’s actually only seven states that don’t have a state income tax.

The thing is can you imagine anybody else hiring him away? It's not like they have to pay him to keep him. Nobody else wants him - or can understand him.

I don't know how he worked anywhere else. Imagine SoCal kids trying to understand his goofy ass.

My feelings exactly. They laughed at Dabo, too. This guy will do well if he gets another good Off coordinator. But a guy like Burrows is rare.
Once you get the reputation for allowing a high flying offense though, your OC slot becomes much more interesting.

He still has the same OC - Ensminger. Any indication he is bringing in someone to keep the offense modern? If not, expect a major regression. No way Ensminger learned enough last season to completely change his stripes or be competent at what Brady brought.

That’s the point - if someone new does not come in, Ensminger is calling plays again. They’ll be right back in the dark ages.
I think he knows better than that. He was smart enough to know he needed better the first time.

everytime a decent passing quarterback shows up in the SEC define with an offensive coordinator that all vile him to attack, SEC defenses are shown to be porous.

It's easily the most embarrassing contract in the history of college sports.

Worse than Butters getting a 500k raise and 4.5 mil extension weeks before we fired him? And then everyone saying they knew he wasnt a fit all along?
