Dog gone red tide reported off Suwannee yesterday , big fish kill.
Between the Buzzards circling Doak Campbell Stadium and a fish kill, the Big Bend area could stink it up for a while.

Bull reds were chewing at the St Augustine jetties yesterday. We had 8 total. Two 27 inch slot fish, and the rest were over slot 30 to 40 inches

I like to blacken and also pan fry with a mix of Italian bread crumbs and parm cheese. That comes out amazing. Both of those will be on the menu this week.

Caught these in Mill Cove today throwing shad tail grubs.

I've spent many days fishing that area. Do you ever fish Fort George inlet? 2-3 lb Trout (some gator) once schooled there this time of year. About 20' off the rocks ... halfway between the bridge and curve to the ocean. That was a few decades ago... probably no more.

I grew up and live in Jacksonville, have fished all over around here. I don’t fish it much, but I have fished Ft George area before. I am looking forward to the water temperatures dropping here in the next month hopefully, and getting after some sheep’s.

I lived in the Jacksonville area for a few decades. Lived on Big Talbot in the 80s. Great sight cast redfishing on the mud flats during the Fall/Winter/Spring. Top water Bagleys finger mullet. Lots of fun! Big Flounder at the inlet during the Fall. Lots around the Jetties too. Same with Reds.

Mix Italian bread crumbs and parm cheese 50/50. Egg wash and into the bread crumb mixture and fry. You won’t be disappointed.

though I had a red, then it went thru my net somehow (twice) we had a real chit show going on till we got it in the boat.

No, beat / mix a couple of eggs and a little milk. Season filets , dip in the egg wash mixture to get wet, and then coat with bread crumb / parm cheese mix, and fry.
