I don't even want to talk about the idea of hiring a guy from WVU who has no clue about defense, reportedly doesn't even allow his guys to tackle in practice, and went 4-8 last year in a weak conference.

If we want to continue to suck we already have the right guy.

There are some intriguing names out there. I think gator fans need to get the big name out of their heads. Here are some names on my list:

1. Bret Bielema: I think he is good head coach.
2. Larry Fedora: I have always liked his offenses. He did great at Southern Miss but has struggled a bit at UNC.
3. Bobby Petrino: I realize this guy is a total douche, but he can recruit and coach.
4. Mark Hudspeth: Only 45 and a rising star. Big jump from ULL to UF though.

What has Halgorsen done since arriving in Morgantown that makes him that special? We need someone with proven head coaching success who knows how to draw up plays, who knows the SEC and who is likely to say yes if Foley comes calling. There's only one guy who fits that description, but he's seen as a callous and cavalier personality type. Do the plusses outweigh the minuses?
