From the stands. He has officially lost it. He killed the cash cow and watched while it has rotted in the field for a year.

And no, I don't give a shiiiiit that he can hire gymnastics and tiddlywinks coaches who win games.

He fvkked up royally when he ran SOS off, fvkked up again when he told SOS to send a resume, and has made two complete disaster hires, managed to extend one of those disasters to an enormous contract even after said Dawg Failure had a losing SEC season and showed complete ineptitude at 2/3 of the game of football.

Fooley is clearly incompetent and would have been fired from any decent company for even one of those mighty blunders.

Tiddlywinks.....I laughed out loud.

The fans have no power. We can boo all we want nothing is going to happen. The powers that be are ****ting on us by standing pat. Why are the big donors not doing anything? What the hell is going on?

Why, he's the best in the country. When it becomes the Football Department and not the Athletic Department, let us know. Foley does a tremendous job running the Athletic Dpt, by all measures. This is where many of you fellow Gator fans lose us. Foley will take care of the football coach who has turned out to be a major dud, although at the time of his hire, many, including the OP, thought it was a solid hire. As we now know, it was horrific. Because Foley decides to dismiss a coach a week or even a season later than the loudest critic on a message board prefers, doesnt mean he should be fired. Maybe Foley thinks you suck as a fan. Fire you!

It's one thing to make a mistake. We all make them. It's another thing to stand by that mistake and not fix it.

Fvkk Fooley.

He's incompetent.

No one gives a damn about gymnastics and swimming.

All you guys who have never worked in anything but the public sector are easy to identify. Work in private industry, walk into your boss's office and tell him you totally destroyed the part of the business that makes the profit and see what happens.

Here's the problem...he didn't just make a bad hire. He stuck his middle finger at the fanbase with that stupid 1000% comment last year. We're now rotting from within. There's no hope hope for us...save yourselves...

He should not have hired the loser in the first place. Or Zook. Now he looks like the biggest buffoon in the country. Let's be honest, at Florida, one of the largest Universities in the country - it aint that hard to have the success he's had.

Why, why, why keep Muschamp a second longer. One decent reason. That's all I ask.

There are rumblings that Foley may be a candidate for the SEC Commisioner job. No I dont have a source other than social media rumors and his long-standing reputation as the best AD in the SEC for decades now. Foley would probably do a great job in that spot as well. Maybe posters who only concern themselves with Gator football and disregard all other Gator athletics should stfu when football season is over and give the rest of us a much needed break from their bitching and moaning.

Have been reading posts on former message board for years and now this board since it was created. Have never posted or joined but compelled to do so today after reading this thread. Foley is the best AD in the country--he will take care of the Muschamp situation and he has said in the past that he keeps a list in his desk of coaches. Just because he has not fired Muschamp does not mean that he is not thinking about or working on the future of Gator football. Some of the big names that are being thrown around for coaches might consider coming to UF solely because Foley is the AD. In the end, be careful of what you wish for--it will not be a good day for Gator Nation if Foley leaves UF.

Great! Foley moves on to be SEC Commish - good for him. What the hell does that have to do with today? We are discussing the football program and how Foley has f'd it up beyond recognition. What don't you understand?

Are you saying that the flagship university in the 3rd most populous state won't be successful after Foley leaves?

Are you sure?

Right, there's no one else in the country that could get good coaches to come to the University of Florida.

You have no idea where I've worked or what I've been responsible for. But I do know this, I've seen people at work just like you. You sit in your cubicle holding your farts in all day, occasionally picking up the telephone to act like youre trying to sell your outdated computer parts, all the while bitching about your CEO to anyone who will pretend to pay you some attention. The CEO walks by once a month and tells you to sit up straight and tuck your shirt in which pisses you off eternally. Your biggest issue in life is that the boss doesn't give you an expense account so you can eat your meatball subs on the company dime. While the company is making tons of money despite your silly, phone call-making ass, you think you're the smartest guy in the room. Everyone else thinks you're a dip****. Nobody gives a flying **** if you think Foley should have fired the coach on October 20th, 2014 or September of 2013, or anytime in between. He's the boss, get over it. When you decide to get off your pimply ass and climb the ladder of the Florida Athletic Department, then you can make the decision on Muschamp. Until then, shut up and let the boss be the boss.

By the way, I'm showing this IP address originated in the Administrative Offices at UF. :suspect:

Apparently you aren't aware that the board ******* post is already occupied. We'll let you know when it opens up, as you're presenting yourself as a strong candidate.

There's other "destination" schools that don't have the success in overall athletics that Foley has had. Billy D has to be one of the best college coaches (sorry to those that don't think basketball is important). The coaches have to like their boss, and by all accounts, Foley is one of the most respected ADs in the country so having him at UF might help with the search. Look at Texas' coaching search last year--it's not so easy to get a coach. Strong was definitely not high on their list and UT fans are complaining already with how things are going.
