Not at all. The annoying part is being unable to enjoy discussions with fellow Gator fans about a Final Four basketball run, the NFL or our favorite freaking color without someone infecting it with a constant reminder of how crappy Muschamp is. That's the annoying part and it has been that way for almost two years. I can't wait for the hammer to drop so we can all get this mess behind us and move on.

Muschamp is that crappy. He is infectious. I'm on record as saying we'll need to fire all of the coaches, shampoo the carpets, and fumigate. I'm not sure that will do it. We may have to tear down some walls and build again. Lord help us all if he is still around when the indoor practice facility breaks ground. The stench that is Muschamp is just that bad.

The brass at USC literally pulled Kiffin on the team bus and fired him in the parking lot. They went on to have a respectable finish. I just don't buy that there's all this red tape to get through. Walk into his office, tell him it's over and that the buyout paperwork will be sent over to his agent, have him clean out his desk, and have security escort him out - preferably right in front of the team.

When he's clear of the facility, have security tell him he's not to come within 100 yards of BHG again.

I'm sure there were a few sceptics but most of us loved the hire. It's easy to second guess now. Just be patient folks...we've waited this long and we can make it a few more weeks.

Under the radar? C'mon everybody and their mother knows we are looking for a coach. Searches are always done "under the radar" cuz candidates generally have jobs right? Keeping Muschamp does make things worse. It does not make things better. So I will ask the same question again. What possible reason is there for Foley to keep Champ on board given that it would be much better to have him gone. We could be honest with recruits instead of whatever kind of "chicanery" is going on in living rooms right now. The fans may actually show up to games and start supporting the players. And team moral would have to skyrocket. I am positive we have more recruits hesitant to come here with the specter that Muschamp might return than recruits that want to come here because of Champ.

Muschamp doesn't want to be the HC anymore. I bet he's got an offer already. As soon as he leaves, he's the DC for FSU or UGA. Make the dumb f^ck squirm on our sidelines, and live with the stink heap he created for a while longer. At this point, I see his staying as punitive.

Retaining him is nothing but a slap in the face to the fans. We the fans show up to the games buy gator stuff ,give our viewership that keeps ratings up we donate money. We make the program go one way or another. Why not send a message to the fans that we are better than this and this performance is unacceptable. It would put everyone's mind at ease and we could somewhat enjoy what's left of the season. He obviously feels he's above even giving us an explanation aswell. He should be fired. The football program is the athletic department.

He has done this without having issues with the NCAA and for the most part keeping the program key.

Yes... Zook and Muschamp are bad hires, but that is only a piece of his job. He has hired one of the best coaches in college basketball history and kept him at Florida through the culture he created. He did hire Meyer... even if Machen provided input, Foley had to agree on it.

When Muschamp was hired, there was no slam dunk coach. Muschamp was from Gainesville and was considered to be one of the top if not the top coaching candidate. Yes, it would have been great to get an experienced head coach, but Muschamp was a 5* prospect that ended up being a bust. He is Jeff Driskel. He is a good guy who just isn't able to get it done.

No one is taking away from his overall body of work which is top notch. You're mistaking that his time is ending with "he sucks". NO ONE HAS SAID ANYTHING CLOSE. He's made some bad decisions recently. I like the theory that he is next in line for the SEC job. He's a great candidate because of his understanding of so many other sports(non-revenue). He's an all-time great Gator. It's just time.

You sound like the FSU fans with Bowden and that's dangerous. He has an ego like many have said. Why can't we all agree it is time. New prez, JF takes the SEC job and we get a new AD. Seems perfect.

Have been reading posts on former message board for years and now this board since it was created. Have never posted or joined but compelled to do so today after reading this thread. Foley is the best AD in the country--he will take care of the Muschamp situation and he has said in the past that he keeps a list in his desk of coaches. Just because he has not fired Muschamp does not mean that he is not thinking about or working on the future of Gator football. Some of the big names that are being thrown around for coaches might consider coming to UF solely because Foley is the AD. In the end, be careful of what you wish for--it will not be a good day for Gator Nation if Foley leaves UF.

It might not be a good day for Gator gymnastics and tiddlywinks but the Gator nation will be just fine.

You knew as well as I did that this season was gonna be a joke. We let our hopes get up for a minute, but were quickly brought back to reality. Like I said, we knew we would have to wait another year and it's only a few weeks away. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing who we'll get. In the meantime, I'll watch the games and laugh like I have for the past several weeks. What else can you do?

What makes you think he can hire a home run coach when there isn't one available. His past history is what I am going by...not Gymnastics or Underwater polo or Jai Alai or swimming or ping pong. This is the sport that pays for everything else. It is more important on a scale we can't describe. Picking a Tiddlywink coach and a football coach are not the same. In your heart of hearts...you think he's ready to pick the next successful coach? Why?

Yep... just because. I don't see it as a big enough reason. Yes... I view football as the most important sport, but I also view running a class program that plays by the rules and does things the right way extremely important.

So I don't think you push out Foley just because of Zook or Muschamp. I think that is minimizing the total success and job he has.
