Lots of people saying the barn has the best D we'll see on our schedule... and you're ready to toss Trask aside after a win??? He held onto the ball too long, but his passing is still much better than what we saw from FF this year.

Hopefully DM will use a taser on KT in practice this week after 3 seconds to reinforce the need to throw it away.
Not throw him away after the win. But Trask should have known how good Auburn's defense was and how he has to get rid of the ball. It was so frustrating. He will get better from here on out. He has to.

Well you said you missed FF. Not sure how else to interpret that. I'm fairly certain we would've lost at KY if FF didn't get hurt. It was like he took a step back after the end of last season. I don't know what to make of that.

As for KT, I'm sure it's hard to "give up" on a play. Hopefully today was a lesson that will stick in his mind for a while.

GTFO. Dude had 2.5 games of experience in the last 7 years and he crushed it. Of course he made mistakes - he’s played less football than most junior HS QBs. Considering how well he's playing, we should all be astounded that a) Butters founders him and b) he isn’t completely shell shocked. Think about next year with a better OL - dude might start closing in on Spurrier numbers.

How about the oline block long enough that he can find an open receiver. Trask has no problem getting rid of the ball if there is even the scent of an open receiver.

The only thing that matters is that he continually held the ball too damn long. Now he has learned a valuable lesson. He needs to put that lesson into action in the tough games coming up. No doubt today's game was under difficult circumstances for a variety of reasons. But Trask should have known going in not to hold the ball too long against that AU defense.

That was a big problem which leads to the other problem. These things can be improved upon if not fixed. And they have to be improved upon..

He seems very smart and will improve. But everyone else around him on the field has to improve at the same time.

Last year's oline apparently had some talent because they got it fixed by the 4th game. This year's oline hasn't been getting any better.

That is a pretty scary thought for the rest of the season. The offense survived today agsinst a really good defense and the Gator defense at numerous big plays and interceptions on a freshman QB that had been flawless until this game. Pretty sure this is something to build on. Not sure about the fake punt though. That got the game from 14 6 Gators to 14 13.

Four years ago, nobody thought Chad Kelly would have issues playing in the Swamp because he had just won in Tuscaloosa a few weeks before. Then the game started. He was a petrified deer in the headlights, as bad as I've ever seen from an opposing QB in that stadium. He was shook worse than an abused baby. The entire team was. Bo Nix may have played in College Station, but he hasn't played in the Swamp.
Just wanted to bump this one.

Question: worse decision?

1) Fake Punt

2) Running the play at the end of the 1st quarter, when we could have run the clock out and gotten a free timeout (due to the end of the quarter).

---

I'm going w/ #2, it cost us points. But #1 led to their only TD. Both were terrible decisions.
Fake punt hands down. Our D is stoutttt and were playing as such. You pin them. Even tho “Towson” had an off game. I mean you play field position. And we were owning them. Gators should have won by 30+

its been more than 20 minutes, mullen still in locker room, must be giving out a ton of game balls

After the game, the alma mater was over, and the field cleared, Mullen was still out there and went on a victory lap for the remaining 20,000 or so fans. He was jumping up and down, waiving his arms to get people hyped up, and high diving everyone in the front row in a lengthy victory lap. It was at least 10-15 minutes after the game was over. He just didn’t want to leave the field. It was pretty awesome.

I despised that man when he was here and the day he was hired.

It's getting a lot easier to like him though.

You can tell he truly wants this job.

He knows just how special it is and the heights he can attain. He is the right coach at the right time.
