Unless something has changed, any group can do blocks. In the 80's there were all kinds of non-greek blocks. I think the minimum was like 20 and had to put in a week or two before the game.

It was nothing more than tickets not bought or used by students...

I can't even imagine leaving the game and then listening to that ending on the radio in the car. :faint:

This happened to me once as a kid. My dad, bless his heart, liked to leave about 10 minutes early to try and beat some traffic. Especially if we were behind at that point. I don't remember the game, who the opponent was, or the score, but I do remember being terribly disappointed to miss the come from behind win by our Gators live. It was exciting on the radio, but nowhere near as great as it would have been to actually be there in the BHG frenzy of excited Gator fans. I vowed from that day forward when I grew up and went to games on my own dime, I'd never leave early. Opportunities have been few since I left Gainesville in 1986, but I can say with pride I have not left a game early that I attended in person since.:proud:

The empty sections were 35 and 37, rows 70 (or so) and up. I agree, those students should have their tickets revoked. How do you not show up for the Tennessee game? PDS I was in section 4 also. I was amazed at the people flooding out with 10 minutes left. They missed one of the greatest endings the Swamp has seen (definitely the best finish I've seen)

It filled in ok by midway through the 1st quarter, but it didn't stay that way. This was at the 6:20 mark of the first quarter.

You can see from Sas' picture that those seats were somewhat filled early. My daughter was up high, but all of those kids just moved down and filled in open spots below. Many kids just didn't want to go because it was "hot" or they were having too much fun at the tailgate, etc. She was p!ssed ( I raised her right).

Crazy that students get tix on the 40 yard line.

wut? Were you not a student? The east stands (roughly between the 25s) has always been the student section.

Or to not tell the truth about where they were. I was in another room when the fourth down that then resulted in a TD happened.

Also, I chastised every one of them to no end.

I actually didn't even see the final touchdown. Some fata$$ b!tch decided she was ready to leave. I was standing up at the end of our row waiting for the snap. She gets right up next to me and just goes "Excuse me!" I said hang on, I'm trying to watch the play. She just glares at me. As soon as the ball left Grier's hand I slipped and fell backwards onto the bleacher and she walked her happy ass right in front of me and then stopped to watch the play while everyone was jumping up and down. I was so ****ing pissed!

I did not think about it but I could have run it back, and I do have a video. I have some physical issues and don't go to games anymore, at least not without great seats.

I saw a guy a couple rows in front of me (section 4 row 18) doing that. Did you have a visor?

How is it possible to wake up today and be agitated or even disgraced?

The showing of our fans yesterday. Pathetic. We didn't sell out, but we sold out. In section four, people were leaving in droves with seven minutes left in the fourth. I made sure to give every single one of them my two cents. Awful. The Gators have to get better, but so do we.
I remember a game, back in the '80's I think, against a team from the plains of Alabama. Looked like we were done late in the game and our fans started bailing. But a banged up QB, dark locks and the popular "porn-stache" of the era, hobbled us back in it and we snatched victory from AU. Though more mobile, Grier puts me in mind of Kerwin. Let's hope he's remembered as fondly when his time in Hawgtown is finished. "Deja Vu all over again?" as the late great Yogi might say? Truly a learning moment for our fans in terms of what that team (and leader) was capable of. Maybe 30 years later, the same lesson will be imparted?

That was my sister's first game.

I was a little kid and my Mom took my friend and I over to the history museum at some point during the game. We were walking back to the car when we heard the stadium erupt. She wasn't very happy. :embarrassed:

Four years of Muschamp emptied the stands. We filled the stands for 20 years prior to that POS,
