It is 20 players. How many need visas? Probably only one. Jeebus, I could have done the job in 15 mins, with time for a coffee break or two.You would think we have people on top of graduation issues, classes, tests, visas etc. lot of hand holding needed to herd entitled cats.

It is about a #24 class missing those guys.
Who all did we lose?
It is getting hard to remember.
Steele
Jalon
Wilson
Hammond
Black
Marks
Is that right?
What a disaster.
That leaves us w 9 bluechippers and 9 fillers for the 2019 class.
#20 Arky had 13 & 10
#21 OSU 11& 6
The classes below that had like 6 bluechippers.
This class is now officially worse than Butters worst class.
I dont count transition classes against anyone.
But the count for 2015 was 7 and 11. 2015 Team Rankings
None will be in. And Reggie Nelson is the only one who went to juco and came back.Would Wilson, Black, Hammond or Marks contributed early? Prolly only Black..

Are these guys gone for this good, or potentially making it back? It seems like a bit of an overreaction if they have good chance to make it in.
A student visa doesn't take six months to get. But it does take an international affairs office that doesn't have their head up there ass. The I20 and related stuff is all filed and granted electronically, but the dumbasses have to send it out.
Stay in your lane, bro.I don't know the specifics of his case, but any visa can take years if it got flagged and went to administrative processing. There is no time limit.
Stay in your lane, bro.
Not an immigration lawyer, but I have dealt with non immigrant exchange visitor J1 visas and dual intent H1B visas for numerous residents and fellows at UF and other schools. F1 student visas are not very different. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, or if you know any specifics.
We wait til 3 days before the deadline to do stuff bc we are UF and we dont do anything specail for football players. Im sure they will get it done about a day before drop add is up, if he doesnt give up and transfer. Why would this kid have no problem with the VISA stuff in high school apparently but have a problem now that its to go to UF? I think he is from the Bahamas but not 100% sure on that.
Youre wrong. Student visas (F1 etc) are handled almost entirely by the international affairs offices through a program called SEVIS. It is basically automated. If his name isnt Osama Bin Ladin, it is a very quick process. If he had an actice ADULT felony warrant, it might changes things, maybe, but he has already cleared this stuff to get here for HS.
It is nothing like getting any other visa.
What might he post on social media that would be a problem?SEVIS is the same database that tracks J1 exchange visitor visas which we sponsor for fellows and residents all the time. I agree with you that normal processing does not take long typically, but all visa applications these days are undergoing "extreme vetting" and I have seen delays for renewal or issuing of visa stamps for trainees who have not had a problem at all in the past. All visas can be subject to further administrative processing.
I hope that it is just a delay in filing paper work, but if his social media or record is anything but pristine it could delay things a lot.
