If I wanted to drop 5k on an engine I agree that would be awesome.

You could always start up a kickstarter for the engine.

Got the dash cover back on. The interior is 95% done. I personally think it's an improvement from where I found it.

5K for 500HP.....I'd tell the old lady to get off her ass and get a second job.....Can't she see how hard your working on this ride??? Seriously, if you have a hard on for cars like me try getting your woman involved by going to cars shows and such. Mine has become such a Mustang fan she is asking me about what mods we will be doing on our 2015 GT.

Dang man! That thing looks AWESOME! Like a brand new car. Great job!!! Put the same amount of work into the engine and you're gonna have something to really be proud of.

I'm going to dive into the engine this weekend. I ran a compression test.....and the results weren't particularly encouraging. 6 of the 8 cylinders are fine, but two of them are extremely low - and right next to each other. That usually means a blown head gasket between those cylinders. Not always, but it doesn't look good. I may have to learn how to replace a head gasket myself the hard way.

She wants to restore a '69 Camaro - that's her dream. We go down to the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach every year to look at the cars.

She loves cars. However like me, she also likes being able to pay the bills.

Even though Concrete drives a Ford, his comments are dead on. My wife loves the G8 conventions and is amenable to mods for the GXP...but I'm trying to keep it stock.

That's awesome. Nice work on the interior. Keep us updated on the motor. Sounds like your going to have the heads off, maybe have them ported if possible....oh and don't forget to drop a new cam in there while your at it....

Looks great Ox! Good luck with the motor. Your wife knows a good model - right up my alley.

Autozone has a $35 gift card and free shipping this weekend for orders over $75 if you're shopping any parts.
I had a '70 Camaro, I always liked the split bumper
