If he's a top five edge rusher they didn't overpay. IF. Don't know about the guarantee. That seems steep. And I have no clue the machinations available when manipulating the cap. Lawrence is next in line for a huge payday. I don't know whether they've backed themselves in a corner or not.

It seems like the front office is thinking the current roster with a few tweaks is good enough. That might cost the G.M. his job.

I don’t know what to think and was hoping there would have been more chatter on it.
I like the first 2 picks. Javon Foster might be a good pick. A multi year starter at OT in the SEC is often a good sign he will be a productive pro considering all of the NFL talent he is seeing through the season.

To the Jag fans in here, what are your thoughts on the Jags draft?

Meh...

The first selection was fine; and I could even understand to a limited degree why they went DL in round two...but after that, things get puzzling to baffling.

There really wasn't any particular need to draft so heavily on the DL when that wasn't really an area we needed upgrading in.

Our biggest need (secondary) wasn't really addressed until later rounds and it's a little bit of a mystery as far as why. Then drafting a return specialist when you already picked up a guy for that in free agency.

The couple of games I watched last year, fabio seemed to be running for his life most times he dropped back to pass...not sure it'll be much better this year.
