You need to charge up your phone, bro!! :D

Thanks for the info. I think he's gone too. Hopefully we get Barnes and Montilus....and one more. I think NPF is 49/51 UF/Bama, so I'm not holding my breath.
Agreed! Hopefully we'll find some decent bodies to get us through until next cycle.

Guys, Spikes was a once a decade or two decades type player. People really underestimate how damn good he was on defense. He was a beast vs run, couldnt be stopped blitzing, and could cover all but a few wide receivers even.

He was probably at least as rare of a talent as Tebow and Harvin were but people just didnt notice.

You could say the same about RFN too.

He could eye gouge with the best of them too but his homemade porn movies needed some help.

“It’s pretty plain and clear that Florida has the most opportunity available for a quarterback.

First off, major kudos to Mullen for closing the deal. Second, the immediate PT was too good to pass up with Mullen having success with QBs.

Flipped to bspn after the news. They were showing the field goal competition at the UA game. McPherson did the Gator chomp after he kicked all seven. Had a slight tendency to hook, but his 66 yd kick cleared the cross bar while his competitor's bounced off the cross bar and through.

100% agree. The way he responded after our young defense got gashed the year before by "No-show" was something to behold. Given how quick the rest of the team got there to pull him off; it seems clear they were all already aware how dialed in he was.

I think the 2008 LSU game may have muddied your memory, Spikes was not covering receivers on a regular basis, let alone at a once in a decade level. This was really his only knack besides his speed, which kinda go hand in hand coming into the draft.

edit: i would agree that his instincts against the pass were elite, but if he was wrong/baited on his initial guess, it was a wrap. he was too stiff and could only really run straight

Brandon Siler from Daytona Beach was a far better MLB for us.

Spikes ran a 5.05 40 at the combine.
