I thought Geoff Collins deserved his own thread. MSU was 10th in the nation in scoring defense this year.

Runs an "aggressive 4-3 psycho defense". Known as a recruiter with strong ties to Florida. Had Miss States defense playing well ffs. Supposedly top 10 in total defense last 4 years.

Hope it's true. Would be nice to have some more new blood and someone that has already held the position in the toughest conference, as opposed to promoting from within a micro-manager's staff. No knock on DJ or TRob, but we just aren't sure if they're ready to run the show yet or not.

I'm happy with this hire, but you also have to assume it means Lawling and Robinson (probably gone to AU already) are gone. Maybe not, but I think there is less chance they keep a DL coach from the old coaching staff.

As long as he can bring in Cowart and Jefferson and keep us nasty on D... I'll be happy.

Can someone shed some light on TRob? Has anyone heard anything on his contract? Heard a rumor that he has a couple stipulations that have to be met prior to becoming eligible for a buyout. Like I said, just a rumor, anyone know anything about his contract?
