The million dollar question has yet to be answered....how did they source the CC numbers/information? Do you think maybe one of them had friends back at home provide them with the numbers?

Thanks for that timeline article, BluwaterG8tr.
Dang, Callaway comes back & pays $2,000 cash to settle chargebacks. He could have used that avenue to buy the electronics in the first place ... I know -- he thought he could get away with stealing from others.
Look how quickly after making the illegal deposits they came in and bought the stuff. Crooks.

Interesting that all of the attempts to fund their gator one cards were less than $2000, with several being exactly $1970. They must have believed they wouldn't be prosecuted if it was below that amount as mentioned earlier in this thread.

That is the birth year of you know who. It is also his ATM Pin. Instead of Omaha, Omaha you hear Gator QBs yelling 1970,1970...:naughty:

Yep good catch there. I think some of the federal agencies generally have a rule (written or unwritten) that they don't deal with cases under $2,000. They probably heard that where they got the stolen CC numbers.

"We all make mistakes" is the cry coming from many people. But.... these were not "mistakes," they were planned crimes which involved several calculated steps and motivated by greed. And the callous disregard they showed for their teammates and to my beloved alma mater, The University of Florida, tells me that they care about nobody but themselves. I will not shed a single tear for any of them.

If UF's entire Alma Mater is ashamed of those player-theives, then there is no bad reflection on our University of Florida.
Do not think that they just made a stupid mistake; they took the illegal cc #s and executed the criminal deposits and purchases in a timing plan equal to arranging a ready getaway car. Natural born crooks.

+1.
Kick them off campus, delete their names and likenesses from all places.

So let it be said, so let it be done.

This isn't pot smoking, sandwich/computer throwing, a twitter threat or illegal parking or underage drinking. (It's not even stealing crab legs or free shoes)

This was a conspiracy (dumb one) to commit fraud. We don't need or want them on campus.

Masterminds. The Fed's search warrant found plans to raid Mac's BBQ warehouse. The go-by list showed they'd planned to be armed with chicken wings.
