Not an a cliche, but an annoying habit that has crept its way into society: starting every sentence with "so"

If you havent noticed it, then you will now

This whole thread has become infuriating. Literally, I know right, you do you. Despite Urg’s assertions, I truly believe if I ran on a platform to simply rid the country of these expressions/misuses, I win in a landslide. My second order of business would then be to arrest Urg for his snarky response.

Wednesday worsts thread ever? :dunno:

no, it's the definition of someone who gets sht done in a bureaucratic world.
Til you meet someone who will demand retribution instead of giving forgiveness.

I’ve had cases where people have torn down completed construction relying on that saying, and countless breach of contract cases.

You can ask for forgiveness, but you may get karma in return.

Together we can make it happen.

I just want to reach out.

There are no stupid questions.

I just want to give back.

Absolutely.

My bad.

Think outside the box.

Physicality (heard on every football broadcast).

Trying to live my truth.

I'm spiritual but not religious.

Out of an abundance of caution.

Wrong side of history (Whatever that means).

Right side of history (Whatever that means).

And the number one irritating phrase of these times: Social distancing.

"Long story short" I work with a particular executive who often uses this term instead of laying out the details. Most of my coworkers are texting during his meetings wondering just WTH is he trying to convey.

I have a strict 50% rule when it comes to that. After the first two sentences, if sentences that start with “So” cross that threshold, we’re done.

Screw you guys. I’m giving you my favorite cliches:

That’s what she said.

We didn’t want him anyway.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

________ is in shambles.

We’re dangerously thin at _________.

Eat a bag of dicks.
