I'm not sure why Mac is so hellbent on bending over backwards for a kid who got himself suspended in the middle of what could have been a special season and then quits on the team.

Have you finally come to your senses about young Will?

I guess when Mac said "I'm not fired up about seeing him in the SEC", that could have meant he was barring a SEC transfer. Beats me.

If you read Mac's quote he did not say he released Grier to play at another SEC school. He said he wouldn't be thrilled. He said he signed off on a bunch.

Yawn. Grier is going to South Carolina - I know it, you know it. Which is awesome.

Our athletic department is completely incompetent. That is all.

However, he isn't a threat to anyone until 2018. I think they know he's going juco and then pro so why worry about it.

Maybe Mac is trying to send a message to recruits that he isn't going to screw them over if things don't work out.

If you are talking about the lining up a UF offense comparable to what we did the last few games, 3 or 4 losses is certainly a possibility. Defenses have figured out Treon. You have to count on Del Rio, a guy who has transferred twice and was third string at Bama, to come out and be able to produce some offense with a mediocre offensive line and no particular outstanding RB's. That is a tall order.

However, in my case, I'm not predicting total suckage. I am just saying instead of competing for the SEC title and national championship with Grier, we may be in the 3-4 loss category with an outside shot of winning the SEC east and getting creamed by the West champion again.

Yeah. That is how I read it.

Not sure I get that. I mean that is just common sense. I am shocked. There is zero reason that he lets him goto an SEC and let that kid beat us.

He's not going to beat us.

I really want a straight answer on this. I can see how it can be taken both ways, especially with the way some of the articles I've read are written.

True...but you don't even give him the opp. He's been behind the scenes of the program. He knows the offense. He'll try to screw us again.

I'm not sure it matters unless he's transferring immediately to sit out a year at another FBS school. Which wouldn't make any sense. He must be transferring to JC and then signing with a new FBS school. If that's the case, he's signing with the FBS school straight from JC. So no stipulations should apply. Regardless of what restrictions you put on him he could go wherever he wants.

At least I think that's the case. I think the restrictions only matter if he's immediately transferring into an FBS school.

He's gotta sit out a year if he transfers anywhere other than a JUCO spot. I don't see him ever being a factor against us. He'll go pro or go away.

If he goes JUCO, then he still has to sit 6 games whenever he goes to any NCAA governed institution.
