Just wanted to make sure.....Some folks still think Grier took his ball and went to West Virginia....
Mommy, my wittle feewings are hurt. Mommy!
Just wanted to make sure.....Some folks still think Grier took his ball and went to West Virginia....
Great CEO's put the right people in the right situation......He hires questionable coaches and "FIRED" the best player at the most crucial position this place has seen in 8 years......Not a good CEO imo...
I greatly disagree that he fired anybody. As far as I can tell (might be wrong) the player took illegal drugs and got caught. He wanted assurance of his job being his which nobody in their right minds gives. He was not committed to be a Gator, (I being a Gator would never transfer) so he left for an option that he thought would be better in the long run. Who knows since we will never know what he might have accomplished if he stayed. We will see what he accomplishes in another circumstance.
I love me some Crete, but when he gets a man crush he's incapable of clear thinking.
Chief, it wont ever matter what you say or even what you could prove. Crete is so butt hurt over Grier screwing himself that he barely sleeps at night and has fabricated every single possible scenario that doesnt include Grier being responsible for his own actions. He is part of the movement that wants to create "safe places" for anyone who gets offended over anything. Ten years from now he will still post his fabricated stories that were caused by lack of sleep and delusions.
Like I said before, people forget he won 11 games his 2nd year and if not for UGA winning 11 games would have played in the SECCG. But I don't think he was a good coach but the east completely sucked the last 2 years which is why I think he could have done it.You lost me when you said Chump would've won the East.
And I'm pretty sure he's made relatively negative comments about him.
Fact of the matter is, no one, not a single poster here thinks Mac is "great".

Totally disagree with your assessment. You can see for yourself. The SEC East the last two years are the two worst years in SEC East history. Complete dog crap. Muschump was freaking terrible but the East was better back then. Hell, the coaching talent pool was way better back then. Look at the garbage coaches the East has now. I don't even think it's close. No coach should ever lose to Vanderbilt at home, and should not lose to a FCS school. As bad as the East has been the last two years, it was worse the previous two years in which Muschamp lost it with a better offensive line and similar defense. 2012 was an odd year, but the East was worse in Muschump's last two years, than McElwain's first two.

2013 - 2 teams finished the season in the top 5. 4 finished in the top 25 including LSU that we play every year they finished #14. 3 teams finished with losing records.
I think those Mizzu and SC teams beat UF in both years. Both teams were pretty good and your just saying it because of who they are. Franklin is a great coach that's why Vandy was that good. You're basically taking away what SOS was able to do at SC by saying what you said. SC was only that good because of himT Rex, so you think that Missouri team that won back to back would have beaten this years Tennessee Team? This years Georgia team? Records aren't the only measure of a team (especially when you compare years and eras). Missouri was 12-2 and 11-3, because the rest of the division was Dog $hit. In what Year is Vandy a real 4-4 team in SEC play? If Georgia, Tennessee and us were not down in 2013, 2014... would Missouri or South Carolina have the records they did?

2014 - 2 teams finished in the top 14. 4 teams finished with 7 win or less. LSU finished with 8 wins.
2015 - 1 team finished in the top 25 Tn #22. 4 teams finished with losing records. LSU finished #16
2016 - 1 team finished in the top 25 Tn #22. 4 teams had 7 wins or less. LSU finished #13
So based on all of that I think it's pretty clear that Mac has had it much easier than Muschamp last 2 seasons.

I wasn't saying Vandy would have beaten us I was just saying Muschamp had to deal with Franklin. Mac hasn't been very impressive against Vandy either though. We had to go to OT to beat FL Atlantic as well.Vandy is Vandy... no $hit. And Franklin is a good coach. So you are saying that Vanderbilt offense would have scored 34 points against the defense we ran in 15/16? Really? Is that your honest argument?
I'm not knocking what Spurrier did, he is the best coach in their history. And if he took to the Sidelines today, he would be one of the best football minds in College Football today. They weren't that special or talented. The #10 Gamecocks beat US with Skylar Morningwood at qb by 5. They lets a Morningwood lead offense score 14 points. As bad as our offense has been the last two years, it has been better than Morningwood.
You gloss over the fact that the major powers of our division were Down US, Tennessee starting their third rebuild in 4 years (2013), Georgia was in their yearly are they going to fire Richt. Missouri was the worst two time SEC East Champ ever, we are a close second the last two years. The quality of SEC East football has been bad the last two years, but no where close to as disgusting as 13/14. Missouri was the weakest SEC East Champion Ever.
But to be completely honest, the SEC has been Alabama and everyone else for over 5 years.
He's delusional and don't want to see the facts because he hates Muschamp much that he don't want to realize that Mac is no better overall. What about the coaches? Which was a better pool? Be honest.
