If things don't go well this year we can claim Mac is running a renegade program. He did have a player under his watch put a gun to his girlfriend's head, another with rape allegations and one suspended for performance enhancing drugs.

I'm not sticking up for Mac but i think you are stretching a bit.
Deiondre Porter was kicked off the team as soon as news broke of the gun incident. I think a coach running a renegade program would try and cover it up or ignore the issue.
A player buying over the counter supplements at GNC is hardly a renegade however I will give you idiotic.
As for Callaway personally i feel as if he has been given enough opportunities. Also where there is enough smoke there is fire. Lastly Callaway has been the common denominator in all of the allegations surrounding him. He is obviously doing something wrong.

Well if Mac can pull a 9-3 season after all this and get a top 6 or so recruiting class I guess it can be argued those players weren't his recruits anyway.

If Callaway doesn't get charged criminally it wouldn't bother me too much if he is able to play after the first few games. He has made a lot of dumb decisions however.

Another 'Saban Disciple' brought in to right the ship, whose only apparent merit would be the ability to give the late Archie Campbell a run for his money.

I had to laugh, as I'm old enough to remember him on Hee Haw! And speaking of...

...this emote is appropriate.

PJ Fleck hands down should be the 1st call. Then Chip Kelly. Then Willie Taggart.

PJ Fleck hasn't proven $hit, appears to be another Jim tressell good for Big 10 not for SEC
Chip Kelly, doubt he would come here, don't really know how good he is, another sideways offense.
Willie Taggert, he beat up on the AAC, what else you got with talent he should have killed the AAC

Chip Kelly is waiting by the phone. He should get the call NOW, no reason to even wait for Saturday. Perhaps we could get Mac escorted out of there tomorrow and have Chip take over on Saturday.

Since 2009, the program has been in complete disarray.

We had a ****ing UGA bulldog as HC.

We've had no coach able to properly coach offensive football, much less young quarterbacks.

The program is 'broken', to quote a Leyer. Fan apathy increasing, boosters mumbling.

Another 'Saban Disciple' brought in to right the ship, whose only apparent merit would be the ability to give the late Archie Campbell a run for his money.

The solution you ask?

Simple, he sits behind a desk about 20 yards down the hall from Mac's office. Before you mention age, Bill Snyder is 77 and did a bang up job on his second go-round at K-State, for K-State standards. It's time to get the swag back in our program, where the SEC hated our guts, and not treated us as an afterthought.

That might work, but I don't think SOS is ready or willing to do so.

He is??? I seem to remember seeing him as an analyst. I greatly doubt he would be interested but perhaps if you asked him as a journalist you might get a response.

Why is that?

He is a west coast type of coach. He has few if any ties to our recruiting area or the SEC. He has plenty of money and I don't think he wants a challenge of the extent that coaching in the SEC entails.

Lets hope McYets' praising the O-Line unit as a team strength wasn't just coach speak. The RBs needs holes and the QB needs protection.

I would like to see Franks tear it up.

This is exciting news. Frank's must have made some serious strides in the offseason to jump LDR. He would've been the safe choice for the coaches to start since he ran the offense reasonably well before the knee and shoulder injuries. I'm sure Zaire will have red zone and wildcat packages in the game plan, but another year of a stop gap reject Qb wasn't appealing.

Didn't he leave Oregon in NCAA trouble? I'm sure he'd do great here with all the speed we have in state, but we won't go after anyone that has any dirt on their hands. Kelly will end up at a program that doesn't mind spending money(definitely not us), and one that puts football first( again definitely not us). If we do can Mac after this season( unlikely now, since he was given an extension, unless this card fraud investigation continues to snowball into astronomical suspensions and public pressure and bad PR just forces Stricklin to act) Stricklin is likely to go after his buddy Mullen from Miss St or some non power 5 coach. I'd love for us to pony up the money and go after a big name coach, but we won't.

He needs to get yanked quickly. The worst thing that can happen is for him to be on the field throwing 4-6 interceptions while we lose 62-6. His confidence may never recover.

From what (little) Ive seen he isnt close to ready. (Little meaning the spring games.) We always knew he was a project likely to need 3-4 years to develop, but he is also the only talented Qb on the roster.

Under SOS we had a pretty consistent run of QBs having a 4-INT game (often at Miss St.) while developing. I've got patience as long as it is leading to growth.

Kelly is first on everyone's list this year when a vacancy opens. That much is certain.
