Is it more indicative that Del Taco is going to transfer?
I hope so. Us losing Appleturnover and DelRio in the same year is actually a win for the program.

Love the first reply calls Mac the Swamp Donkey
We arent coming in second. Leatherhead was never coming here.Have you noticed how many top tier recruits we come in second in recruiting?.

I doubt Stidham was either.

Always a year late and a dollar short. The early bird gets the worm. Mac's always late and they worm out of his offer?
Yeah, being in the running for top tier recruits is bad! We should only recruit the top tier guys that aren't pursued by the top programs in the country. Better to give up and go home than to be out there competing with the best.Have you noticed how many top tier recruits we come in second in recruiting? Apparently, Mac is always a bridesmaid, but never a bride. We need to stop wasting time on recruits we can't get. Or maybe, we need to stop wasting time on coaches who can't recruit.
The point is he ISN'T competing with the best on the field and off. He's getting ram-rodded all over the place. It's pathetic.Yeah, being in the running for top tier recruits is bad! At this point Mac is just throwing shyt against the wall and hoping something sticks.
We should also fire the whole staff every 2 years if we don't get the performance we want! If we can't be better than Alabama or the Gators of the 90's within a year or two, we should whine and then give up! Coaches and assistants at all levels will flock to Gainesville once they know they'll have no time to develop the program and they'll have to win immediately with whatever talent happens to be left! No QBs? No problem. Just develop them over the course of several months and then win or you're fired and they're cut!
Sounds like most people here have a firm grasp on how to develop a program and how long it takes to develop recruiting relationships (not to mention all the expertise in offensive schemes, defensive schemes, play-calling, etc.). Those guys who played college football and have spent their entire careers proving themselves as coaches? No, they clearly don't have a clue! What, they've worked hard moved up the ranks in a free market with low barriers to entry and high levels of competition?!? Bah! Success in a free market doesn't mean anything!
It's pretty hard to believe most of the naysayers here aren't already making big money as college football coaches or Athletic Directors. Maybe they've missed their calling?
