Trask has to be in the driver's seat for the Heisman, right?

Nalt, we all love you, but you are nothing but an anti-Gator guest that will always remain on very thin ice. We have to listen to pro-Bama BS everywhere we go, every day. We aren't going to listen to it on here as well.

Mac Jones on the Gators this season would have thrown for about 18 TD's. The guy is a product of the system, nothing more. He is also a drunk that will be face down in a gutter two years from now. I expect him to approach me at a gas station in the coming years and ask for change for the bus, because he's got a "job offertunity" he has to get to.

Devanta Smith is a turd that is only playing because that other overrated WR went down hurt. The guy was the waterboy before Saban got desperate. He's another product of having defenses have to stack the lines and protect the run. Smith will be an enormous bust at the next level and will be waiting tables in Tuscaloosa by 2022.

Hey Ox, that is some really funny stuff right there. Just a thought here, if you don't want to see Jones begging for pocket change then maybe, just maybe you can move up in the working world from pumping gas for a living to something a bit better. Maybe a cashier at a convenience store perhaps?

Oh, and you're probably right about Smith. I mean, he has only been making HUGE plays for TDs non-stop since his freshman year... :bwahaha:

Like this one from his sophomore season...

Damn. :owned:

There's simply no coming back from this one.

:headslap: That is one of the dumbest statements I've read on this board. Pure speculation and nothing more... :bwahaha:

Here is the defensive breakdown from Gator Nation Football Podcast. What their film study shows is that Jones doesn't read the field well. He goes to the primary receiver from his pre-snap read, and if it's not there he immediately goes straight to his checkdown, ignoring other players who are wide open. That happened repeatedly last week.

Yes, he has talent, but he's a product of a great a great system surrounded by the best O-line, WR, and RB in the nation. There is no doubt that Trask is a superior QB and would have had crazy numbers if at Bama. Leading the country by passing yards and touchdowns by a mile with a flawed O-line is evidence enough of that, but watch the film if you need more.

So what did Johnny Manziel do that was so great "character wise" to help him win it? Let me help you, NOTHING. He won it with his play on the field and nothing else.

No idea if Mullen promoted Trask or not. Show me where Saban has promoted anyone, ever for the Heisman.

... you forgetting Rapeis Winston?

I remember an announcer during the bama game saying" Jones internal clock was off when they got to him" Hell, he had all day back there most of the year. DIdnt need that clock.' He would just wait till they were open and pitch them the ball. Trask is 5 times the QB Jones is. With a running game we average 600 yrds a game and steam roll alUbama...........oh and if we added one five star LB and DT.

while all this may be true, you'd be saying the exact same thing about mac if he was on our sideline and trask was on theirs. Hard to make a convincing argument for anything when you've made a career of being a homer.

Mac jones is no different than McElroy or McCarron. A game manager with a queer haircut. He just had the benefit of not being coached by Doug nussmeier or Jim McElwain.

All season, every game Trask was under constant pressure that Mac Jones would have faltered under.
Give Trask one third the run-game Bama had and his stats would be overwhelmingly convincing -- oh, his stats do overwhelm other QBs.

Yep. Game manager on an entire roster of future NFL starters. They’d win 8 games with me as QB on that roster.

guilty as charged, always root for my home team. All kinds of weather and that old bllshttt.........not really a career but an obsession since I saw SOS line up under center and then pitch to Casey.

Would someone please explain how Bama had the All-SEC 1st Team QB, RB, and WR, the AP 1st Team All-American QB, RB, and WR, and the AP Player of the Year (Devonte Smith) when Trask was obviously the best QB in the country this season? I mean, all of you guys that have said that Trask will win the Heisman have made the claim that he IS the best QB in the nation... Do all those AP writers, who many of which also have Heisman voting privileges, know something that no one on this board knows? Or could it be that they gave those awards to the Bama players as a consolation prize since Trask would win the Heisman?

Since you asked ...

Mac Jones

Kyle Trask

* 11 more touchdowns in as many games
* 386 more yards
* Only one more pick in 82 more attempts
* Didn’t have Bama’s offensive line to protect him
* Didn’t have the first-team All-America and SEC running back to hand off to
* Didn’t have the first-team All-America and SEC wideout to throw to
* Didn’t have Florida’s defense to help pad his stats

You said it. With all that help, small wonder Mac Jones had the kind of season he had. Switch roles. Put Trask on Bama and Jones on Florida. Similar results? Hahaha.

More prime time games got more people to see his play than Trask.
