It kills me that Jack Miller is now considered one of the worst QB’s in the nation after one mediocre spring game in a brand new system. Remember when we threw in the towel on Cam Newton after his spring game disaster?

That distinction goes to Kitna.

For the teams not playing the NIL game, I think that argument holds water. We’re not one of those teams. For a 4/5 star QB who has NFL hopes and dreams, it may be about the money, but it’s not about the dollars and cents at this level. They’re not offering something we couldn’t touch financial wise. He was our primary target. The money was there. This is about closing. It appears they did, and we didn’t.

Again, I don't think all is lost. Hopefully they can use the money and lock down some our top targets across the board like McLain, Baxter and mizzell. Don't know where we stand with Bryant but that would be another good one that we had some momentum with a while back, i think.

If AR15 has a big year maybe the qb position becomes an easier sell in the future.

So whats the lesson you are talking about, over pay for a high school kid? Do you know how much AR is getting NIL wise?

I think you are so consumed with the thought of everything in our class is going to be gravy as long as we get Rashada at any cost and that is the lesson you think our staff needs to learn. I think the lesson you need to learn has a lot more to do with market value with regards to a depth chart and what happens when you set it.

Especially since they already have a qb committed.

Lol. I will take Max Brown and Jack Miller over Emory Williams every single day of the week and twice on Sundays. But yeah...we know...Jack Miller sucks because of a spring game.

A lot of reports that Rashada's number one team is aTm. If aTm misses out on Moore, they could come calling. Personally, with all of the reports about this kid and his family, even if he does commit, I wouldn't consider it worth much. With NIL, a commitment doesn't mean anything until the player signs. Another team with little relationship could come and pull a Tinerc and simply offer a giant load of cash.

Also, I think scUM is offering more. But, define more. The NIL contracts come in two packages. There is the immediate cash and the long term. That is the debate going on in the NIL world. Which is better? Plus, some are following rules and some aren't. The ones who aren't following the rules know the NCAA won't punish. Eventually, something has to give. As for Rashada, I have also seen a lot of reports that his NIL agent/consultant is a royal pain to deal with. He is the reason for the roller-coaster recruitment.

Watching Miller in that game, I was encouraged. I saw a QB with a strong arm, a quick enuf release and a non-hesitant release. His spirals were tight. IMO, he will improve and make us thankful he's here. Miller came here to compete with AR. So, he's not a "backdown" type spirit.

Yes, a combination also of some drops and bad decisions but that can be overcome. Also, not sure he had the best WR's to target either. Not too worried about Miller at the moment and we also have Max Brown.

I find it funny how Kirby Smart was blessed with a pretty heavy dose of downs and yet he can sign a 5 star qb every fuching year, meanwhile our coach is sneaking in and stealing Valdosta states plan b. And even worse some of you guys are silly enough to believe just because we hired a butters protege that automatically means the Brown kid is another Kyle Trask. I'm not saying Sling Blade can't or won't do it, but if he doesn't finish in the top 5 or 6 range this year in recruiting with how loaded the state of Florida is with talent then he never will and we'll be looking for another coach in 4-5 years.

Pretty sure I understood what you said. The gist of it was offer more money no matter what and tell recruits they can't go anywhere else on visits or the offer is void. Im was disagreeing with you and telling you why.
