Well, you don't need one now. My camp did work for dozens, however. @ThreatMatrix recently got out and he's been a new man ever since. @GBHOR is a bit of a lost cause - he still hates Nap.

Actually reading those old post and being delightfully and happily wrong is great. I actually didn't remember some of this stuff. No doubt my meltdown was complete. Visiting posters had to be going, "Who IS this moron?" LOL!

Did it ever occur to you that you could be cursing the guy by pulling out this thread after 1 game? Good god man, couldn't you have at least waited until we were 3-0?

I'm happy about the win, but if the bed is **** against Kentucky or the Vols this could whipsaw in a hurry.

So I guess I can't count on your support for my bid to be UF's next athletic director?
I definitely wasn't sold on Napier at all, but he won me over fairly quickly. His strong finish his final season at ULL, the staff he built, and that strong close on NSD eliminated any lingering concerns.

So far we see a coach with a cool, calm, and collective approach. Players are responding, staying out of trouble, and learning some grit. About his offense.....until he figures out what they can truly do against competition he is doing what he needs to do, Defensively the same. He was left a terrible situation with some talent and a lack of depth. Not sure anyone else could do what he's doing. What we witnessed the other night was a team that took on that persona. And they did not shyt the bed. With the hot mess of coaches we've had in the last decade, we shyt the bed a lot. No matter what happens from here on, we got a glimpse of what the overall program can be. Talent will come if things keep up. Offense and Defense will change along with that. In the end it only matters one thing and that is winning. At the end of the game last week, funny how we cheered just as loud for the outcome regardless of whether is was rushing for 200+ yards or passing for such. I think we're in pretty good shape for the long run this time. I'm ready to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, our Gators are eventually going to lose a game or two under Napier. However, I think it's completely clear at this point that he has built a terrific foundation in a short period of time, and recruiting is something to get excited about. I didn't know what to expect when Stricklin hired Napier. I suspect that was true for most on this board. But one thing I liked from the beginning was his demand for the resources needed to run a championship caliber program. He then started hiring his staff but honestly, I did know anything about most of them. Raymond seemed like a good get, so check that box. Then he started executing his plan. And it seemed like a real plan not a by the seat of your pants thing, it have purpose and culture. Check that box. I didn't really learn anything from the spring game so on to recruiting. This summer was awesome. It sounds like we have a shot at top 5. Wow, check that box. So we have check boxes on staff, functional program, recruiting, probably others.
So for me the next thing to watch was game management and playcalling. Game 1 had some head scratchers. But we won and the team looked more disciplined. Overall, I liked the product on the field. But it's one game. And I'm not ready to get "In Napier I Trust" tattooed onto my bicep just yet. Maybe penciled in? Or maybe something more like, "In Napier I Have Hope"? Certainly not something I could say about McElwain or Mullen.

Hell, My opinion…..was wrong.
In fact, I’ve held several opinions over the years that were wrong.
