Ppl blamed Toney for our defense, meanwhile our starting Safeties just ran fkn 4.7s…

I remember being attacked for saying they were the weak link
Well, we hear about the extensive player evaluation process to make sure they have the physical tools for their position. Surely someone in that crowded safety room could run a 4.5 or better.

Maybe he preferred guys who knew where to stand to get the best view of the guy running past him? I’d rather risk getting a young talented guy reps than leave an experienced guy out there who can’t physically match up.

What happened when Cox left? His backup played more consistently but we also lost a body as a depth piece (I recall that kid being so gassed he was literally jogging in the Bowl Game because he couldnt come off the field) . We bench a guy like Dean early and he transfers, Wilson gets hurt 6 plays in and who goes out there?
Sometimes as a Coach you gotta play the cards your dealt, even when they are subpar. There's reasons this staff went heavy in those areas in recruiting.
Still on the coaches. Pay me a $1M and I'll figure it out. Prior coaches didn't recruit right? Boohoo. Figure it out

You think Dean stays if hes benched? Again, who plays if Wilson gets hurt? Its Cox all over again. No Depth
Do you recall Wilson tweeting like he had won the starting job during the bye week then the next game he played like 8 snaps? Wonder what happened.. My money says Dean told the staff he'd leave or something to that effect and their hands were tied.

They did figure it out, they started the mid guy so he wouldnt leave in season zero while they built for the future by giving their young guy reps to prepare him to start next season.

There’s a reason we had so many transfers at the end of the season. Napier was cleaning house. If you actually look at the last two classes before Napier took over, only about a third of those kids are left. This last class was our best in 5 years and maybe overall deepest/best in 10.

This year’s class is going to be our best since Urban Meyer had the reigns. Not quite on his level. But the best since he left.

The class that just signed was really good. But they just lacked exceptional talent on the top end. That’s something that Napier needs to bring in this class.

It’s a good start to have two 5* star talents in Lagway and Graham out the gate.

Our running back, Chauncey Bowens is criminally underrated at #218. He’ll be top 50 player when next season is over. But it’s gonna be a battle to keep him. Georgia is all over him right now. Good news is that he is here either this weekend or next.

We need at least 8 to 10 top 100 players every year to get a roster that can compete with Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State.
