They lost 9 games all year. I'm willing to bet they won plenty of games without raining in 3s

Um sure, except that not everybody they play is good and they are a record-breaking 3 point shooting team. Curry obliterated all 3 point records. Not by a little bit, by a lot.

I understand there's a certain amount of grabbing involved, increasing from HS to college to the pros. What I saw in that span was very egregious and unacceptable, IMO. Not how the game should be played, especially by one of it's best players. Doosh move by a doosh player.
You don't think gs players hold like hell with every screen they set?

I'm sure they do. I admit I haven't watched much NBA in the past 20 years. I saw like 5 minutes of that game and the part I saw was where James was holding Curry. My point is one of the supposed best players in the league has to resort to cheating so that he can stay with the person he's been charged with guarding. Probably why I quit watching the NBA.

Curry was holding Irving the other night like he was his 6 month old infant son, didn't matter tho, he sucks on defense, Irving torched him and Thompson. Bottom line is all of them hold bc the refs pretty much allow it. If we are going to lament holding and illegal screens it needs to be consistent. All of them do it, all the time.

All I'm saying is they are a well balanced team. Obviously they are an elite 3 point shooting team, but that's not the only thing they can do. They wouldn't be where they're at if that were the case

They're a good team for sure. I'm no basketball guru by any means, but I've watched most of the Thunder and Cav series. It just seems to me that the determiner really has been the long ball in those games. Especially early where they either build a big lead or fall way behind. But I'll admit right here and now that I could write everything I know about basketball on the back of a stamp with a crayon.

Haha you're not necessarily wrong, they definitely rely on the 3 ball a lot but they do a lot of other things well that keep them in games even when 3s aren't going down.

Regardless of all this talk, game 7 is going to be very interesting. Hope it's more competitive than the others have been lol

I think it's telling when you are supposedly one of the greatest teams of all time and broke win and 3 point records, yet more often than not, when your 3 point shooting isn't raining down, not only do you lose, but you lose badly.

If GS three point shooting was typical of playoff teams they would have been bounced quite a while ago. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

Obviously there are many ways to win games and you play to your strength. They are a great team bc of the 3 ball shooting. Not arguing that, but just stop with this complete team nonsense. Complete teams consistently win regardless of whether they are raining threes or having an off night from deep. This isn't the case for GS and it's why they aren't a complete team.

They are a one-dimensional team built for today's NBA. As said on this board many times, they would have been a marginal player in the NBA of the mid-'90s that allowed rugged defense and forced teams to win championships by playing solid half-court basketball.

IDK, Durty's kinda sticking up for Lebron, but he's more dissing on Green, saying Green's actions are much worse than Lebron's. So it may seem like he's a Lebron fan, but I don't think that was his intent - he just despises Green. I don't like Green either, but I'm rooting for his team.
Personally, if you're not a Cavs or Heat fan, I don't see how you could be a fan of Lebron. He IS an entitled, whiny, flopping, grandstanding hypocrite. I saw in game 4 where he held Curry on one play like 3 times in a 3 second span when Curry was trying to get away from him. That's a cheap, dirty (no pun intended Durty) way for one of the supposedly greatest players to gain an advantage over a smaller, over-matched, player. I have zero respect for the guy.
Couldn't have said it better Bart. I despise LeBron with a passion. It is his generation of overpriced, entitled players that have driven me away from watching the NBA at all. Haven't watched more than a few minutes of any game in several years.

Yes, and it was his record that he crushed.

Who cares if they are a one dimensional team? They are one home game away from back to back titles and setting the record for wins in a season. I wish my team was in that position.

It bothers me that the game has been intentionally changed so that not only can 1D teams win, but they can set records doing it. Defense, post play and toughness should never be legislated away from being as important as 3 point shooting. The way the refs call games is sad.

73-9 speaks for itself. They are a complete team that shoots the 3 ball exceptionally well.

1st in FG %
4th in rebounds
1st in assists
9th in steals
2nd in blocks
10th in advanced defensive rating (pts allowed per 100 possessions)
5th in assist to TO ratio

And yet when thy aren't raining threes they get beat by double digits... No one here even debates that point. But the complete team mantra marches on!

They've been blown out a handful of times this year. Stop being a prisoner of the moment. Even the Spurs get blown out, are they not a well rounded team?

Your eyes are lying to you brah
