nahhhh... none of this was planned or calculated at all....

:bob:

Or guys like Telfort clearly felt there are only so many free gummy bears and funyuns one person needs, and self imposed the limit, which I for one, think is commendable in our current society of greed and gluttony.

Sorry if my "glass half full" personality doesn't fit your "string em up" narrative.

Just had someone hack my debit card last night and bought a 500 dollar phone.

Still no 2222? Even after two wins. Weird.

I understand 2222's absence. I bet he's not even lurking, washed his mind of GatChat forever? I miss his illustrations of why certain plays failed or if & how they succeeded. His posted-video comments carried no disinformation to argue about.

If 2222 were still participating and our offensive plays gain successful long yards, then he could elucidate us on the "before and "after" videos showing how players' properly executed their blocks, ran exact routes, how that makes the coaches look better -- not that he'll get away with that edit.

I'd like to see a white Bronco transport van slow cavalcade filmed from a helicopter.

I have to admit I had underestimated the level of criminality of these players that were formerly wearing the uniform of the Florida Gators. I'm sure there was a "ringleader", but as a UF student athlete enjoying a full ride scholarship with a bright future to lose, you have to have some basic core values of right and wrong, and actually care about the importance of law and the shame of hurting other people. These jackasses have no respect for people or property and therefore should not be given any in return. They should be immediately disqualified as UF students and banned from University grounds. Let the courts decide the fate of these turds. I have no sympathy.

I have some doubts as to whether or not to 2222 is even one person. he or they did not come over immediately. I saw him posting on gsmb and send him a private message inviting him over here. he sent an private message or two regarding it and some other things.

Once he came over he acted like he didn't know who. Like me or hate me I'm generally not a forgettable person.

That combined with his access to game film and editing ability makes me suspicious. Just a wild hunch but I think it is a joint account from UAA.

Im NOT trying to make excuses but he is probably on a low carb diet from the trainers trying to lose some of that baby fat. Maybe he couldn't get gummies and cookies and stuff from elsewhere.

that's a big man. you got to stuff a lot of calories into that.

Saturday Down South article painting a positive vibe for Callaway....I want him gone personally, pretrial diversion be damned.

https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/first-10-week-5/

6. The return of Callaway
Don’t be surprised if star Florida wideout Antonio Callaway finds his way back to the field in Gainesville.
The troubled junior and the team’s best player is one of nine Florida players charged with felony credit card fraud. But those felony charges for a majority of the players could qualify for a diversion program, where they would eventually be expunged from their records.
The lack of a felony charge and conviction would then allow the players to return to the team.
If Callaway is among that group – and two Florida staffers I spoke with earlier this week on the condition of anonymity believe he will be – he will play again at Florida despite his previous troubles away from the field.

This is Callaway’s third off-field problem. He was found “not responsible” for a sexual assault claim during a student code of conduct hearing (where he admitted under oath to smoking marijuana in violation of team rules), and cited for marijuana possession earlier this spring.
Callaway’s cases, though, are seen individually, one Florida staffer told me. He was cleared of the alleged sexual assault, and he can only be held accountable for one of the two marijuana incidents (the other came to light only because of the student conduct code hearing). In other words, if he is offered deferred prosecution (the diversion program) by the state attorney in Gainesville, he will likely play again this season.

After what this kid did and has previously been involved in, if hes let back on the team I will be absolutely disgusted.

Grier wasn't breaking any laws or committing crimes involving victims, yet we all know mac quietly encouraged him to seek life elsewhere. I'm alright with it if that is how things are going to be run; hard nose and no excuses. But if this kid comes back then mac doesn't have a single leg to stand on. I'll wait to pass judgement but if these anonymous staffer reports are true and these punks are allowed to return yet again, this will be a sad and pathetic indictment on someone who will have completely proven himself to be an absolute imbecile wholly incapable of running an organization with any level of dignity, responsibility, and respect. This is disgusting.

Thanks Bluwaters. I do not think Callaway's return is the right message to send. Callaway is a football playing hero; can you imagine a locker-room's hero applause for a burglar who "beat the rap". Not the moral morass I"d want circulating in our young Gators' brains.

I wonder if he could sue UF if we rejected his return. His lawsuit would reflect the financial damage UF did in causing him to lose his best chance for reasonably high draft bonus etc.$ There is a college, forgot the name, that tried to reject allowing a walk-on (star) to play on their team due to a guilty conviction for rape in high school. He sued & a federal judge ordered the school to let him on the team. Now that's a convicted rapist!

I don't think any of them will play another down for UF. 99% of fans, boosters, have credit cards. These buttwipes using stolen numbers/IDs is criminal. Regardless of any plea deals. Toss em out.

personally, I'm done with Callaway. It's just doesn't seem worth it at this point. who cares if the previous charges were dropped or how one of the marijuana charges came up? the guy keeps screwing up. the cons outweigh the pros, it's time to move on

I'm not big on the idea of any of these guys playing for UF going forward, especially Callaway. That said, I would love to see the faces and hear the whining if he came back just in time for the uga game and was the difference in a win. The meltdown of those red pant wearing losers would be epic and worth any temporary PR backlash.
