And? Our last 4 hires: Coordinator, Utah, Coordinator, Colorado State. We're all of a sudden going to raid a upper-level P5 program? I'm a realist, and a Scott Frost is realistic. A P5 coach isn't. If our job was so desirable we wouldn't be hiring coordinators and coaches from Colorado State.
What

You made it seem like he's not elite and would be mediocre here. He wouldn't. He's a very very good head coach at a mediocre program no better than Mississippi State. We would win the east 3 out of every four years with him here

Every coach candidate has flaws but I am suspicious of Gundy because he seems to lose at least one big game every year. Coach since 2005 at a school with very deep booster pockets and only once have they been on top of their conference.

Comes down to one question. Do you think OK State is the same tier as OK and Texas? If your answer is yes then Gundy's not the guy. If the answer is no then the question is what could he do with UF's recruiting and resources?
BTW Richt is looking good since he made the move.

I feel the same way about Vandy's coaches. Tons of money and so much talent their in Tinerc and Oklahoma just ripe for NCs.

Some of the posts a fvkktarded. Hell, Saban left Mich State saying he didnt want to be second fiddle to Michigan and couldnt win NCs.

I think your response means you would be on board with Gundy (or maybe not). I'm not sure I fully understand your Vandy comment. I think you're implying that Gundy is limited at Ok State and could prosper at UF given more resources. I would agree he'd be an improvement. I just think an elite coach would have won more "big" games there than he has. As we've heard for decades, Spurrier won an ACC title at Duke.

Gundy better than Macelchump, but don't want to sign up to losing to FSU every 9/10 years. No thanks.

Last week I said Hayes Carlyon for AD whenhe said Butters must go.. After seeing that article I am retracting that immediately. Not b/c he thinks Frost would not be the best hire, but for these 2 reasons. One he says Cousin Eddie would be better. Anyone who likes Cousin Eddie here is immediately the enemy. Secondly, when referring to Frost and his staff, he says it lacks in experience. I will say it again. Regarding coaching experience is only a small portion. You either have it or you don;t. The true makings of a good coach are innate. Need I start a laundry list of asst. coaches we have had here in the last 20 years that had lots or experience but sucked Dog's Balls. I did not think so.

I fully respect the hair game.

He isnt my first pick. Frost is clearly #1. Im not sure about #2, but its probably Norvell and Gundy. There are questions w all though.

I still really like Brohm.

Mullen isnt in the top 250.

Id be cool with Strong if nothing else worked out.

You don't think gundy would put up 80 points on Charles Kelly? Hell jimbos horrawful offense would never be able to outscore OSUS. Osu would beat FSU 100-0 this year. We may get shut out against them

So the question is what is Frost's record in the last 10 years? Don't know cuz he's only been coaching for a year and half. He hasn't even played his rival yet. He's played one ranked team and lost 51-14.
How is his game day coaching? Can he make adjustments at half time and come from behind? How does he deal with adversity such as the loss of key starter? Can he recruit against the big boys? All unknowns because he hasn't been tested. With Frost we are buying a pig in a poke.
Like I've said I'll be as excited as anyone else if we get him but we are going to be paying millions to get answer to those questions.

Yeah and if we go with Gundy we KNOW what we're getting: another Mark Richt.

Really? You've come around. You've always hated that offense and he's your guy?
Mehhh... there really are no options. Even pass heavy guys like Babers, Brohm and Gundy run option.

Plus, more importantly, with all the high schools running middle school offenses too, the ability to find QBs who arent run first is limited.
