Well, they both brought our program down further than I can ever remember it.

I had zero problem with either of the firings when they happened. But many of the fans were calling for their firings when by any objective nature they were successful by any reasonable standard.

So do you all think Scott Frost thinks Muschamp and McElwain are ****ty coaches? Spurrier liked muschamp and pointed out many times we were in national championship contention and Saban seems to think McElwain got a raw deal. So who do you think is a better judge of these things? You guys or those two.

I think UF fans are among the worst in this respect. We have become spoiled with success. Alabama fans are even worse. There are a few other programs at that level. But not many.

I fully expect if Kirby smart were the UF coach and we get spanked by auburn and lose to Bama and end with 2 losses at the end of the second year most fans would be calling for his head too.

You forget there were some UF fans who weren’t unhappy to see spurrier go because of his mixed results with FSU and Miami and the fact that spurrier didn’t personally relish recruiting. Many were happy to see Meyer gone after that mediocre last season
Dude, you are out of your mind!
I keep hearing Gator Nation is full of unreasonable, unrealistic fans. I've yet to meet them. Most people I come across are very realistic in their expectations.

By the way people who dislike posts simply because they disagree are complete pussies.

That’s the problem. Most of these people started following gators during spurrier era.

Well, since I was born in 1958 and living in Sarasota Fl, I was exposed early. I will stand by what I said. These coaches were not fits here and never would be.

It is hard to become a gator fan in the early 90s and then see this. I understand that. But following the success SOS and Urb the last 25 years was a mountain few could climb with the bar up there in the stratosphere...........

I don’t disagree. But hindsight is 20/20. We know very little about Scott Frost and he could be a bust too.

I fully get it. I started following Miami dolphins when the went to 3 straight superbowls and won 2 including a perfect season. I’ve never really been that interested in them since, although I did pull for them in the Marino years
