This team plays hard. Mike White made a great call changing the defense the last three or four possessions. It was a winning play. Refs sucked, practically helped the other team back into the game. Let's keep rolling. Meatchicken might be overrated and ripe for the upset.

Y'all are a bunch of cry-baby pussies. Reminds me of Bama fans. lmao @lee4three. The game is 40 minutes long. Play til the end. Have hope until the final buzzer. Pathetic Gator Fans, Come on...if you can't handle defeat, have your wife or boyfriend watch the game for you so they can let you know if we've won or not ahead of time. That way you are spared disappointment. Just like in real life. Use the Cheat Codes.

Please, don't let us have a 5-7 min scoring drought. Keep on keeping on!

Florida is up 51-36 at the under 12 timeout. We were up 18, but have gone onna drought. We are holding the ball slowing down the game and our "Mike White" drought can not happen here. We have to keep fighting all the way to the end of the game

These quotes, prior to the drought are why there is so much frustration. It is not one run by Nevada. It’s happened all season when we have a lead. We change the offense and it’s why these predictions were proven right.

Up 10 with 9:30 left

We made 1 basket in about 10 minutes of game time from 11:00 when Locke hit his three until Nembards layup with 1:38 to go. It was about 7 minutes after our prior basket.

We did miss 9 shots, and lots of close ones, during that stretch, but that is part of the problem. We only took 10 shots for 10 minutes of prevent, allow the comeback, offense.

We took 43 shots in the other 30 minutes for about a 50% more aggressive pace. Of course fouls and other aspects (NV offensive rebounds) contributed, but it’s a clear pattern at this point when we have a lead.

No question. It's frustrating as hell, and makes you feel like no lead is safe.

Really don’t get the hate for White but old enough to remember Billy D getting hate when they went out early a lot.

Go gators. Enjoy this. This makes it a good season.

Hate for Billy? I don’t remember that. Frustration? Yes.

We knew the early exits weren’t primarily due to Billy. He proved himself quickly (see: NCAAT 2000), showed an aggressive philosophy and put his foot on the opponent’s throat with a lead. The “play not to lose mentality” approach (see: muschamp) isn’t very popular with people who have witnessed winning with the likes of the HBC, Billy Ball and meyer.

If you didn't watch a moment of the game (and I'm confident you didn't), you can't have an opinion on this.

I’m a witness to how much donkey doesn’t care about basketball. He’s reminded us of that fact over and over... and over... and in dozens of basketball threads every season.

He truly doesn’t care.

White is getting a lot of blame. But it isn't White's fault KJ, Hayes, and Bassett kept missing shots from 2-5 feet away. It isn't White's fault Bassett doesn't block out. It is White's fault they run an offense that burns the shot clock and then the guys are forced into hero ball.

Mike White‘s largest coaching failure is recruiting. He’s had 3 classes. It’s the reason he gets 1 more.

His 2nd biggest issue is that he is so defensive minded that our teams constantly stall on offense. It’s the antithesis to today’s b-ball. It’s the reason why we’ve seen so many cats come with offensive skill and they all erode.

It’s a pretty simple formula - build an offensive team with length. The length will allow them to be more attacking on defense.

The offensive system didn't change, but the pacing did. when you team goes from a really good flow on offense, to the point guard sitting at the top of the key for 10-15 seconds, before getting the offense started and their is over 9 minutes on the clock that is a coaches decision. If you are going to slow the pace down, the kids have to hit those shots with a few seconds left which they were not which just helped continue that drought. The commentators brought this up multiple times during the game. So White does deserve some of the blame of the drought that happened in the second half, trying to shorten the game (muschamping it) so Nevada had less opportunities.

I agree. I've said numerous times this season, he is our Leonard Hamilton. From what I've seen of him, I have little confidence we will ever have a top scoring team. I also believe that, like Hamilton, he will get out coached a number of times every season. But, he will win enough to keep his job.

Accurate tweets by Goldkamp, but White has had more than enough time to rebuild what he inherited. Poor recruiting when it comes to big men is one thing.

I seem to remember three big men either leaving or being injured. Losing those three seems to be a factor to me, perhaps it is really nothing?

It was a game of runs. Our team has not proven to be able to consistently score throughout both halves all year. We ran clock both halves. 1st half we ran clock and had a few nice runs and converted shots. 2nd half we ran clock but missed point blank chip shots. You also cannot discount the effect of that run of fouls they called nearly every trip down the court. Clearly impacted our synergy on both sides of the ball.

As they mounted their run they extended the court and forced us to speed up as White commented post game. We got out of sync and had several real bad passes and turnovers. We only have one guy who is a legitimate ballhandler and passer. Extremely challenging to play uptempo with this group. As frustrating and boring as it may be our most effective offense has been to control the tempo.

This was not a guaranteed win nor were we favored. It wasn’t some kind of moral victory. We beat a higher seeded, 29 win, favored team in a win or go home scenario. I’ll take it and move on.

Is there someone here that is NOT taking it and NOT moving on?
