Four years ago, nobody thought Chad Kelly would have issues playing in the Swamp because he had just won in Tuscaloosa a few weeks before. Then the game started. He was a petrified deer in the headlights, as bad as I've ever seen from an opposing QB in that stadium. He was shook worse than an abused baby. The entire team was. Bo Nix may have played in College Station, but he hasn't played in the Swamp.

Having said that, that little f*cker can run, so it'd be great if our DL didn't rush too far upfield every single play and let him gash us on the scrambles.

And get him on the ground when they get him.

If nothing else, I do like the fact that we’ll be a home underdog. In the past when we’ve seem to lose to Auburn, it’s them pulling the upset. Maybe we can return it the favor this time. I’d love to be wrong on my prediction that we’ll lose.

This^^^^

Hopefully our DE's/Buck get better overnight at not losing outside containment. Moon and Grenard both have both been guilty of this many times this season.

I’ve noticed that a QB usually can’t throw or run very well when they’re eating sod.

Last week against Towson it appeared we had Moon spying Flacco a lot, and Flacco made Moon look silly several times. Hopefully we put someone a little more athletic on Nix this week. The QB scrambling seems to always cause Grantham issues.

They've been a really heated rival for a long time. Many of the old generation put them just a notch below uga. Even during some of our best years they've been a thorn in our side. Their placement on the schedule for my whole life until my 20's almost ensured that we had to play them directly after Lsu and just before uga. So whether it was them beating us, or costing us one of the other games due to fatigue/focus, they were a killer. In many respects, as an old guard in the conference, they represented the uphill battle we were handed annually. And that's not even getting into Pat Dye, who is right on par with Dooley in leading the charge against us in the early 80s.

Fun fact: geographically, they're our closest SEC opponent.

Fun fact #2: screw auburn, they suck.

I started watching UF in 91 when I was 10 and they always caused us grief especially during some of our best seasons. Like 93, 94, 01, 06, 07. **** them!!!

Emmitt is gonna be in The Swamp w/ EJ:

Want another bullet for the Auburn hate argument?

Aside from Tebow, I don’t recall another UF player crying, heart just ripped out, after a loss, except Emmitt after Aub ‘89. I’m no fan of his later actions, but he left it all out on the field that night for us, and wanted to beat this rival so badly. I’ll never forget watching that as a kid.

Again, screw Aub.

Auburn's strength is their DL and running the ball, and everybody knows it.
Our weakness is running the ball and stopping the run, and everybody knows that too.
This game is going to be a chess match of the highest order.
I wouldn't be surprised if Gus started the game with some shots downfield, anticipating that Grantham will sell out to stop the run.
I'm glad that CJ and Zuniga will be back.

Was that the game at Auburn where we lost in the last minutes, the score was like 10-7. I was at that one and Emmitt was pretty upset.

In his podcast @oxrageous referred to him as "Kyle Nix." Does this mean he too can now work for the Sun?
Someone listened to it?

That’s actually hilarious. Kyle Nix was a childhood friend of mine in the mid 80’s. Haven’t thought of him in years, but evidently he was alive and well in my subconscious.

You’ve bashed Florida every which way, then always add, “I sure hope I’m wrong”. You had better hope you’re right, or you’re going to hear about your pathetic defeatism all week from me.
