We wouldn't have made the playoffs if we had beaten Bama in Atlanta in '15 or '16. Missouri wouldn't have made it in '14, either.

True. But only because we’d scored 2 points a week before against the noles at home. Going into that final regular season game, we were the fly in the ointment that if by chance had beaten fsu and then Alabama, we were going to the playoff, as undeserving as our resume was.

But yes, 2 losses, and we were out, even if we’d pulled the upset in Atl. And I’m ok with that. No need to water down the regular season. If that means the SEC gets left out on occasion, so be it. Don’t lose 2 games and generally win your division and conference. That’s the ticket to the playoff in the SEC. If you can’t handle that, there’s no need to go any further with talk of being a national champion.

Isn't Geoff Collins, our former DC, the head coach there now? If so, would add an interesting wrinkle.

SIDEHAT? he is the coach at GT? I truly had no idea. Wow I guess anyone can get a P5 head coaching job. Sidehat? No wonder they suck ballz but they did beat scrotUM so Sidehat was finally good for something.

I think the miracle FG win over Vandy and miracle OT win over FAU were disqualifying, as well.

I kinda feel like we don't sustain enough injuries during our SEC schedule. I'm with Scott on this one.

I'd love to see home and homes against Notre Dame, Nebraska, and Oregon. I'm also pretty pumped about playing Texas. We already play an ACC team every year, so no thanks to playing more unless it's in the playoffs.

$$$ and recruiting.

But we have money. We just don’t spend it wisely. Besides, I’m not sure how giving up a home game, in addition to already losing one in Jax, nets us that much.

As for recruiting, we’re in Florida. Every time we go out west to get some recruit, it’s a disaster. They either turn out to be busts, get homesick and transfer or get in trouble.

Plus, I can’t imagine we’re making any in-roads in the LDS dominated Utah market. Not sure if you’re aware, but all those huge Samoan lineman aren’t actually from there.

As a former player, I expect more of you and your appreciation for those hard fought chess matches.

“I tell you what...I mean....and-uh...right?(condescending nod)...
I won’t lie. As a player, I would have been thrilled with the Vandy win and pissed with the FAU win.

Stricklin playin?

I always look at what people DO, not what they say. What he actually does is schedule TWO 1AA games at Cowbell and here. Forget the tweet about wanting big games.

The trick is to schedule beatable teams that have a big draw like a Washington , Oregon, TCU. Like some have mentioned.
We don't need to add Clemson or Oklahoma. We've got a tough enough schedule. Utah is the perfect match up. If we did go big10, penn state would make game day and they're usually beatable. I think we would wax Wisconsin and that would also make primetime tv. The acc just doesn't have many decent brands to the table. I'd stay outa there.

He’s already started building out the 20s. I’d say he’s doing exactly what he should be doing. The 2 FCS teams is likely Foley’s fault.
