Chump gonna Chump. That said, you have to give him his due. Dude has the mental capacity of a pomegranate but has managed to make millions. Damn impressive.

Didn't Muschamp, at one time, say about himself that he could sell ice to an Eskimo (in reference to recruiting, but the ego remains).

Let me be the first to go on record saying Vandy beats them this week. That team has quit, following in the footsteps of their leader.

Chimp is currently 25-22 @ USCe. Right now I’d say it’s 50-50 he survives. Given the rest of their schedule if he doesn’t beat Vandy, that number gets a lot worse for him. As @Captain Sasquatch noted above, the rest of their schedule (App State, TAMU, & Clemson) does not get any easier. On the other hand, our idiot AD kept him after a 4-8 season, so maybe their AD is that dumb too?

From what I understand from their beaten-down fans, the AD is horrible, almost Fooley-like in making hires, so they see no need to fire the Chimp unless the AD goes with him. Otherwise, he'll just hire another disaster.

I'd just like to take a moment to remind folks that some commenting on this thread were all in on chump, defending his temper tantrums and coach speak as a guy who actually cares and someone who's working his tail off for us...

He’s staring down the barrel of another 4-8 season. They’ll more than likely beat Vandy next week, but they won’t beat App St., TAMU, or Clemson. I think he’s finished. Which would be quite ironic seeing how he also beat UGA in surprising fashion the year he was fired here.

The only way he survives is the buyout, which is enormous. I imagine SC is in better financial shape than FSU, but $22 million is a big chunk!

I don't understand how these agents get contracts like this. Only coaches like Swinney & Saban deserve that type of buyout, because they've earned it. The only thing Muschamp has accomplished as a coach is to get rich.

Will Muschamp's buyout at South Carolina extremely high

According to USA Today's salary database, Muschamp's buyout — as of April 1, 2019 — is $18.6 million if fired after Dec. 31, one of the larger sums nationally. That number is a gargantuan $22 million if he's fired before the season is over.

why remind folks now?

it’s clear that everyone is united on this now, so why look back?

I was never a Muschamp fan, but once a coach is hired I support him as best I can until support becomes futile, like losing to Ga Southern.

Nav still can't let go. He's got that "Muschamp stare" poster still on his wall.

South Carolina deserves everything it gets for being so dumb on the buyout.

It's not as if Muschamp was a hot commodity coming out of the mess he created here. Hell, they could have probably signed him to an incentive-driven one-year deal with zero buyout.

Agreed. Just like Jeremy Pruitt, Joe Moorhead, Matt Luke, Mason, and many other first time D1 head coaches....the buyout should be the cost of a moving truck to get them to anywhere they want to move. When they sign a contract extension, when earned, that's when a buyout should be discussed. How the F did Will Muschamp get a $22 million buyout?

The deal should have been Muschamp uses the money he stole from Florida to pay USCe for a one-year audition.

When will ADs learn when it comes to this clown?

Muschamp always finds a way to land on his feet. I can see some crafty agent hiring him to make a series of how-to videos for P5 programs on how to avoid being defrauded on coaching hires.

Sort of like paying a Russian hacker to teach cyber security. Muschamp will sit on a barstool, his face shaded from the camera to avoid being identified. He'll probably have to cut out some of fancy technical jargon to avoid being outed.

And the voice disguised, of course. Still, any mention of the word "midline" would give it away.

What can I say? I'm all Gator. I'm all in while someone is one of our players or coaches. Once they are fired, or transfer, they can go to hell.

Pruitt extends his tenure and Chumps is a dead man walking. He will be coaching a directional school next year.
In the worse direction, no doubt.

The guy should be fired
.... for having no cause.

Its a real shame this is happening to such a great progrum.
... Munchscat creates progrims

..... oh -- the season is over -- the refs have seen to that.

Cocks boards were talking about this. Players appeared to be ignoring the Chump onnthe sideline.
