I MEAN NO ONE LOVES LOSING MORE THAN COACH.
Kyle Trask. Your credibility in two words. Worship 5 stars instead of coaching and character and team cohesion and loyalty.
A team of five stars beat a team with no running game. No pass rush and a QB you still call trash by 7 pts. I know you are now
vindicated by this and smiling but when the days is done I am a gator since I was ten years old and will be a gator till the day I die
and when you see or hear me DENIGRATING MY TEAM you will know dementia has taken over. What's your excuse?

I just realized.....ALL CAPS...........I am honored. Just like the time I got Alcoholica to come out of his hermitage to reply to me...........

After discrediting tombstone you respond with friends? Wow.

Fair point. But my position stands. Kurt Russell is terrible. The guy from the movie with the kid with the face, dreadful. And the guy from Titanic may be the worst of them all. How he landed any roles ever is beyond me.

Let’s be honest, if not for Kilmer crushing the Holiday character and carrying the whole cast, it’s an Eric Roberts/Shannon Tweed, straight to video type movie.

Don't tell oxking....it's his favorite movie. If he's flipping around the channels and comes across it, you'd better settle in.

I got blasted pretty bad, but now many who were blasting me are making the same complaints I was making in the OP. Go figure.

Why don’t you give the forum your honest assessment of the LSU game in terms of effort, execution, and coaching, then we’ll see where your credibility stacks up.

Ha! So after pronouncing Tombstone to be, "complete garbage," and consequently getting the sense from other posters that your Man Card might be of questionable validity, you're backtracking by giving Val Kilmer props for, "crushing the Holiday character and carrying the whole cast."

But if Kilmer -- the co-star of the movie -- crushed his character and carried the whole cast, then the movie wasn't "complete garbage," was it?

You're right. Kilmer's Doc Holiday character is what makes the movie worth watching.

Ergo, you're wrong. The movie IS worth watching and doesn't suck.

If I recall correctly, Fowler had a monster game against GaSouthern in 2013, and Townsend the First punted really well for a Freshman. Those two brighter spots don't change the fact that the game was garbage. If people like it, so be it. It just doesn't warrant the cult following it has, which to me makes it extremely overrated. Like Ox pointed out, there are people whose lives are dictated by whether or not it's on Tv.

As I said, if Kilmer turns down the role and your left with the boyfriend of face kid's strung-out whore mom, and the guy who was so atrocious in Titanic that he never landed another box office movie role in 19 years, there's no doubt the directors would've retooled the movie into a much darker theme, had Shannon Tweed topless at least twice and would've gone to straight to one of those movie stands you sometimes see in the turnpike service plazas.

Go find the game thread and read it, or the many threads started that night. That was a month ago. I guarantee you I wasn't near as negative as some on here were. I just wasn't celebrating a moral victory like you were.

You’re the one choosing to bump threads to draw attention to yourself. Why don’t you answer the fvvking question. I won’t even hold you to your thoughts at the time. Just summarize for us your honest impression now, today of the effort, execution, and coaching of the LSU game.

Offense was fine as well as offensive coaching, could argue with some of the playing of EJ on some drives. Offensively did what you would want in that game, ball control drives that ended in TD's. Defensively coaching was poor, who the hell could argue with that? They averaged 10 plus yards a play. No I don't think Greenard and Zu make much of a difference in that game regardless. Grantham was clearly out classed. I think the defense tried, was it their best effort? Hell no. I think frustration set in on the defense as the game went on, and mental mistakes piled up. You can't give up 500 plus yards to a team who only had the ball like 20 minutes in the game and say the defense played their hearts out. The offense did everything in their power to help the defense and the defense couldn't do anything in the game. There's your assessment, the same damn one you read that night.

Performances in Tombstone

Oscar worthy:

Val Kilmer

Iconic:
Thomas Haden Church
Powers Booth
Stephen Lang

Memorable:
Sam Elliott
Sweet Soft Hungarian Devil
Behan
Bill Paxton
Mattie the Opium Whore
Ringo
Madcap

Solid to Good:
Kurt Russell
Billy Zane
Sister Boy
Ed Bailey
The rest of the cowboys

Ok:
Dana Delaney (miscast)

You have to bear in mind that Kurt Russell was forced to save the production by assuming directorial responsibilities from day 1. That cost him focus but he’sa natural enough actor to still pull it off. Could have been better.
