No problem with that. But all of us who go to or follow the baseball games want what is best for the PROGRAM. Therefore each of us is allowed our thoughts. You want Wilky, fine. Others want Sully, fine too. And then some want another HC at another school.

I love Brad!! I watched him play here for 3 years!! He is a Gator hero!! He may turn out to be the greatest baseball coach ever!! I don't know. I would not complain a bit if he was hired as the next head baseball coach. I am simply pointing out the measurable criteria that these decisions are usually based on.

I attended also before leaving central Fla for my job. I've been to probably 100 games I would estimate. Not trying to offend but hes a great guy and deserves more than JU.

Well according to some of this board, what we say drives off recruits and coaches. Seems the opposite would also be true.

That's a good point. It's only fair to acknowledge if you're one of the idiots that thinks this board drives off coaches or players with negativity, that this board also can snag great coaches and players with positivity.

Thanks for the info. I have to think there will be more. I mentioned that I felt Butler should leave. Nothing against the kid, but whatever portion of a scholly he was getting was not being earned. He was forgotten as a pitcher, he is a terrible 1st baseman (not his fault) and a marginal hitter. I think he could be a decent player elsewhere. Acton really helped late in the year, but I have to think this was done in concert with the coaching staff. I remember seeing him in fall ball his freshman year and he was hitting a ton in the scrimmages and it never translated to the regular season. As an upperclassman it is probably best he leaves to free up that portion of a scholly.

Brock Edge was the third, probably due to playing time. Foley, how does recruiting look for next year, I’m sure we have a few recruits that will ultimately end up being drafted, but we also have a “high pick” make it in the class every year. Fingers crossed
