How could any professional running the nutrition program do this no matter what anybody would say or do. We were to have a first class program in this area, I wonder who is watching the store and Strickland needs to go for not actually watching what is happening. I would be having a meal with them on a regular basis without telling anybody I was coming. Like say Mr. Sam back in the days when he arrived with the truck and held folks accountable.

Exactly. No accountability is the disease that our football program has been infected with for many years. It started with Foley and now Strickland. This reminds me of McElwein's joke of a strength and conditioning program that contributed to the Will Grier s**t show.
While this may look like mice nuts, it is a clear and present symptom of our program wide disease. Hopefully our boy Napier is the vaccine.

What in the **** honestly...

Players still say it isn't Savage's fault...the hell it is...i dont care if he isnt the nutrition guy, if he sees this **** and lets it happen hes just as much at fault
We can't listen to the players. I'm sure many of them have personal connections with Savage and others on the S&C/nutrition staff, who they interact with a lot. Some of them may have been decent staffers, but now they can go be decent on someone else's staff.

Best of luck to them in their future endeavors. ALL MULLEN MINIONS MUST GO, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Meanwhile I was just re-reading a looooonnng 2018 article about Napier shared by @Theologator, and there's a lot in there about his emphasis on details and foundational building blocks such as proper nutrition.

On a hot July day, the additional staffers requested by Napier and approved by [athletic director Bryan] Maggard are moving about the school’s three-year-old football facility. One is organizing the camp schedule from behind a computer; others are scouting a 2018 opponent on a projection screen in a dimly lit room; another is barking at players as they lumber through conditioning tests.

Maggard proudly details how Louisiana’s non-football coaching staff has grown by about 75%: two strength coaches, a handful of strength interns, three nutrionists and more than a dozen others who juggle duties in multiple departments, from recruiting to quality control. The athletic department’s snack budget went from zero to $1.5 million. The football program’s assistant coach salary pool increased by 40% to $2 million, and the school began to pay the full cost of attendance for athletes, something the NCAA permitted for the first time in 2015.

It’s all part of The Process, but it’s known here as something else: The Journey. “Alabama says, ‘The Process Begins Here,’” Napier says. “We say, ‘The Journey Starts Here.’”
...

Director of sports nutrition Bailee Sawyer stands in front of 100-plus football players and drives her point home.

“Protein does what for the body?”

The audience responds in unison: “Builds muscle.”

“So you can’t just have a banana anymore,” Sawyer says. “You got to have protein with it.”

She then reminds all of them of how to maintain or increase body weight during grueling summer training and subsequent fall camp. She wants the guys to eat six times a day, the normal three meals accompanied by three snacks—remember that $1.5 million snack budget? “A snack between breakfast and lunch,” she tells them. “A snack between lunch and practice, and something before bed. We will never lose weight during camp again.”

Before this year, Louisiana did not employ a nutritionist, Maggard says. Its three-person department is now housed in an office off the weight room, all part of Billy Napier’s first steps toward replicating the Alabama Way.

Snacks after breakfast, after lunch, before bed, snacks, snacks, snacks -- it sounds like the Donker's nutritional plan (minus the workouts between snacking), but his snack budget is only $1.2 million. :fatnanner:

Does this not exist? An entire set of degreed nutrition careers? Does this UF falsify their employment records.?
Even if this isn't tightly current, it shows a legitimate & respectable program.

It's taken 4 extra years, but it sounds like we'll finally get past McElwain's nutrional diet of PB&J and chocolate milk.

All of this nutritional deficit in the program is just mind-boggling. I could’ve sworn we used to have a nutritionist that ran the training table for the players that provided three squares each day and monitored their caloric and nutrient intake as well as prescribed weight gain or loss. The meals were programmed to max load carbs a day prior to games as well as practices. WTH happened or am I confusing this with another school?
Yeah, I thought I remember reading about this in the Meyer years.

As a woke equity loving American I find it racist to think mostly black athletes would have facilities not provided to all students. Academic live matter. Fascists.
Guaranteed the Alabamas and Clemsons of the world have an in house kitchen with a full staff. And this isn't just a football issue. It would benefit the entire athletics program.

That guy on twitter is an idiot. And I’m all for Diabate shining a light on all the flaws and faults of the program. That kid has been starved for coaching and food for years, and he’s just trying to use this opportunity to speak up and get the program rolling again. I’m glad he did it. He might come off as a hothead to some, and it may even annoy Napier… idk. But, the kid is a Gator, and with his other tweets, it appears to me that he’s O&B for life. That matters most to me.

Why not leave? Anybody know this waterhead?

Tweet back and tell that cuck to STFU.

holy crap what a freaking retard. I played ball at a community college so I know all about big time D1 football... CERTIFIED RETARD

Oh I did that already. He also had the nerve to tweet this laugher. We are a power 5 FB team in the SEC not some slap dick U. in shytdyck city.

And it's dining hall with one N douche.

This guy is by far top 10 dumbest Gator fans on Twitter, look for his comments on any writers posts and then debate laughing or crying.

Number 1 is this guy though. Tweet DumbA.jpg

Perhaps it was the lack of nutrition that had us playing 220 pounders at DT as Law lamented constantly. So when we played a team like Bama or UGA, even the non intelligent media (see Tooley, Fat) always commented how much bigger the opponent appeared to be than UF. And I used to think you know we are all recruiting the same guys. And yet there it was for all to see, many of the UGA or Bama DT's weight 325 lbs. yet seemingly just as agile as our 230 lb. DT's. If only Law had known our guys just did not have access to the proper food.

I like Diabate too, hope he puts on weight this off-season....but is this why he missed all those tackles? :)

Not nearly as much as I’m laughing at “celticnate” reprising the Beastie Boys and fightin’ for his right to public ridicule.

*Thanks @GatorTruth133
