1st round talent goes in the 3rd after a dreadful combine and private workouts. Jets cut him a few months later. Then, clears the waiver wire. Just, wow. No one took a chance on Polite? That’s not because he played poorly. Something more went on.

Wasn't he the one who always used the #retiremoms? If so hopefully moms hasn't quit yet.

How the hell could you justify letting a player go you wasted a 3rd round pick on so fast?

Makes you respect Jeff Driskel for hanging in there, although his time in the NFL could be at an end:

"The Cincinnati Bengals have placed backup quarterback Jeff Driskel on injured reserve per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. He also noted that an injury settlement may be in the near future, allowing Driskel to head elsewhere."

This explains it:

Jachai Polite was fined more than $100,000 during his time with the Jets

Fined $100,000 in four months with the team? This kind of idiocy is difficult to imagine.

Wow, this is almost difficult to believe and I emphasize "almost". Even having had to write all those checks for obvious stupid A$$ fines he brought upon himself, this is the NFL, and if you can play and are not incarcerated, some team will take a chance on you. But it is obvious that no teams think he can play immediately. So lack of performance on the field coupled with idiotic behavior is not a good recipe for a long career.

It is amazing to me that he did not try to figure out what he needed to do for the Jets after his interview cost him so much cash. Is he flat out special?

He didn't suddenly get that way either. Makes one wonder what the hell Mullen and staff put up with last season.

And maybe CDM & staff were too much for Polite and he was gonna leave no matter what. We all know things were a bit loosey- goosey under Butters.

He apparently is now on the Seahawks practice roster according to the fine article. But yea, if this guy is acting the fool this much in the NFL, how much more was he doing it at UF?

Hopefully this is the best thing that happens to him. A little humble pie. We all know he's got the talent.

Just saw on the local sports program that Polite is going to be on the Seahawks practice squad. Pete Carroll can fix em!

Sounds like Polite picked up some of Butters work ethic while he was here. Fined for tardiness and doing other things he shouldn’t be doing, sounds just like Butters.

Jacoby Brissett is now the starter in Indy with a $30 million contract. I hope he gets better blocking than Luck did.

I dont have faith he will turn it around, but Pete Carroll might be the coach for jachai. Clowney Ansah and Polite in passing situations could be nasty.

I think the colts have recently put an emphasis on OL and a quicker pass game to protect the QB. think they had the least sacks given up last year. Might be more to do with luck though.
