Very true. #1-5 or even 1-7 some years are pretty close together. The real issue is total number of bluechippers and beyond that, fit of the bluechippers to filling your needs, ie it's not just 7 Dbs and 4 rush ends and nothing else (Chimp).
yeah, that really makes no sense. Grade issues are going to prevent him from getting in there, but not UF? And Dad only insists on a scholly from them, but not the good guys? That's not even good spin. The grade issue comment reminds me of one of my wife's favorite lines (on those rare occasions when she's feeling snarky): "I got in to UF but not FSU....said no one ever."
Clemson doesn’t sign full classes every year either. So that needs to be considered
Alcoholica says recruits base their decisions on what is on a message board.
Well if your not catching up from coaching changes you should be signing about 22 a year. 22 a year times 5 years is 110 players that could be on your roster and you only have 85 slots. So a mature program that has not had a bunch of coaching changes will usually not have 25 open slots most years.
Not my point at all. They simply don’t process guys out like other schools. So their numbers are lower which translate to lower ratings in some years. So the talent gap will look bigger than it likely is when you use class rankings as a metric.
You’re giving law too much credit here. He is new with understanding blue chip percentage is more important than being top 10. I actually went through most of this thread pulling up and saving a lot of his posts for a post-signing day swonkey extravaganza thread for the LoLs laterNot worried about message boards. Someone heard it from somewhere and put it on a message board. If there is any truth, local media in Arizona and possibly ESPN could add fuel to it. Then you have to wonder as a recruit who is telling you the truth, coaches trying to sell you or the media.

Law and others make a good point about tracking blue chips as a percentage

spot on the damn nose here this was from AprilTaggart is a douchenozzle who went 5-7 most years in the Sunbelt. One year will be enough to show him for what he is.

Not that he’s been wrong about a ton but he’s said an insanely amount of funny shyt in here that needs revisiting
Yeah, if you can wait a few years and filter out the good 3 stars, you have a much better success rate :). Greenard, Krull, and Shuler don't help our "Talent Composite" much due to being 3-stars out of HS....but they have certainly matured into 4-star type talent.
So much McElstain in ole Taggelwain.Their class is a frickin joke of cast offs, broken players, kids nobody wants, and then legacy kids or Jimbo recruits who are being forced to stay .
Yes, if there were some mythical program that didn't lose kids to the NFL or have kids transfer get injured or otherwise leave.Well if your not catching up from coaching changes you should be signing about 22 a year. 22 a year times 5 years is 110 players that could be on your roster and you only have 85 slots. Did I say big?
Willllie might take 8 DBs this class.
