I don't know enough about racing or the jock to answer that question. One thing I'm pretty sure I know is that the first quarter mile of the Preakness is going to be slower than usual. The other Jockeys and trainers are not going to let Rich Strike close like that again.
His one other win he won by 17.5 lengths. That's pretty eye opening.Hopefully Rich Strike will not be a one horse wonder but his other races were not impressive. Maybe he is peaking at the right time and will do great things. It’s such a great story for him and his owner that lost several horses in a barn fire in 2016.

Good Christ it was a joke. Go have a Coke and a smile.

Like so many others, I was captivated by this underdog horse. However, right after the win, I was annoyed to see so many Debbie Downers and conspiracy theorists already claiming the horse was on drugs, as if his win would be impossible otherwise. God forbid we enjoy the horse and his incredible story. We just HAD to be getting cheated somehow.
Along the same lines and around the same time I was also recently reading the YouTube comments on the trailer of an awesome Nolan Ryan documentary coming up called "Facing Nolan". Ryan had perhaps the most golden arm in the history of baseball, he's a mythical figure. In all of these decades, I had never heard the claim that only reason he could pitch so long is because he was "roided up" until I was reading these comments. There is of course not a single shred of evidence on that theory. It's ridiculous.
It's just the way a segment of the society is now.
Does this mean Robin Ventura won?Like so many others, I was captivated by this underdog horse. Ryan was bigger, tougher, and meaner than Ventura. He could probably still kick his ass now.Does this mean Robin Ventura won?
The pitching goat hits a hundred and it's hard to believe, yet half of the kids out of highschool throw 95 and its totally believable. Not to mention a 20 year old at Tennessee hits 104 and it's a product of the great coaching in travel ball. Get outta of here!Like so many others, I was captivated by this underdog horse. Can they throw 100 for 27 seasons on unlimited pitch counts? Ryan was a freak of nature. The pitching goat hits a hundred and it's hard to believe, yet half of the kids out of highschool throw 95 and its totally believable. And why would you say this? Explain your twisted logic for us.Not surprised at all and probably the right call.
