Saw this posted on another board: Auburn cancelled a visit from a WR from St. Thomas Aquinas HS and the kid is upset about it and wasn't told why - he was projected to pick Auburn, now it looks like Auburn may have pulled the offer. Burning bridges at STA isn't a good strategy for any SEC or southern school:

Uh.... not recruiting has been his tactic for three years.

Besides it's been at least 3 weeks since he lest sent a "where am I ?" picture from the Caribbean. We just added two hohum recruits and are sitting pretty at #22. He has to be getting tired. The staff is due for a vacation.

Much like communism...this time will be different

I felt pretty confident about him coming here until, oh I don't know, about 16 minutes ago.
I am just as confident that if he does somehow come here, he'll be hunting for another university in late November.

You know quality defensive backs are the one thing that we don't lack. I'm sure we can take six or eight this year just like we always do.

Yeah, but you know those stories where high school sweethearts go their separate ways, marrying others, moving away, etc., only to rekindle their romance years later through a random chance meeting? This would be like that.

Besides, he was draft eligible in like 2017, so I'm sure this is a one year stop anyway. There wouldn't be any leaving until it's for the league.

Did we actually want him though? He seems like a flake

If he will sign/transfer immediately and can play this season, sure, why not. Guys like Marshall could probably use a year where they're not counted on to start, so he would be filling in until, or unless they emerge. If he's as good as we originally thought, our secondary could be pretty solid.

Serious question: he has played...thinking...
one (?) year in the last five. What makes you think he is "more ready" than Marshall?

I honestly don't know. He may not be. I was thinking he'd been playing at P5 level, but maybe it was just JuCo. If so, I'm not sure I care any more. Actually, yeah, no definitely don't care.
