My point is that at the time the deal was made/signed our AD could have reasonably said "dan, you and your staff are not trending well, you don't demonstrate a process of successful staffs, you don't take advice, follow directions, and show well for the University." To me the deal said UF had no leverage, but they did. And now the fool is making a hell of a lot more money than he deserves.The buyout is in the contract. The contract was extended 3 years. It is a flat buyout. Its not rocket science.
No fuchstard, the buyout can be a 1 million, 1 dollar or one penny.The buyout is in the contract. The contract was extended 3 years. It is a flat buyout. Its not rocket science.

Obviously no one goes to you for contract work.

I know he has a weak staff that owes him everything but I can't imagine it's a great place to work compared to other programs.
the truth is I could give you a copy of his contract which is probably 20 to 30 pages long and you wouldn't have a ****ing clue what it was.Dude...his buyout is crazy low. WTF are you talking about. I can't stand Striklin but if you think extending Mullen's contract by 3 years with a 12 million flat buyout is some sort of foundation of power for Mullen then you aren't understanding it very well. Maybe I am wrong about what his contract is based on donkey throwing a temper tantrum (without giving any sorta substance to back said temper tantrum) but its written in words of the English language in many different places saying so.
My point is at the time of the contract there was no reason or obligation. Since Covid other schools have force their HCs to take pay cuts and low buyouts. Mullen got a raise. It should have been one or the other. You get a raise or a buyout. In retrospect he's been overpaid since he arrived.Dude...his buyout is crazy low. WTF are you talking about. You know.... at the time of signing the contract there was at least, objectively, UT trying to hire him also.My point is at the time of the contract there was no reason or obligation. In retrospect, given UT's general incompetence, this should have been a clue to the decision makers.You know.... at the time of signing the contract there was at least, objectively, UT trying to hire him also.
Me thinks Swonkey thinks you're loony.

it obviously doesn't matter much that you don't know what the **** you're talking about. it never has.
it doesn't matter that you don't know contracts or legal terms or for that matter an X from O when it comes to football, you're still here, babbling incessantly.

Are you as dumb as you sound?No duh. Is your only point that Mullen aint worth 7.6M dollars? Wow...thanks Cpt Obvious because everyone here never thought about that once. Hey...did you know we landed on the moon? Also, did you know that when he got his extension nothing in the verbage about his buyout changed?
Guess what, since you are finally catching up with 10-27-2021...Mullen is definitely worth the very low sum of a 12 million buyout to get rid of him for good.
Yes. We are way overquota on spectrum people these days too once Swamp Ass flushed them.Are you as dumb as you sound?
Journalist morons with no more legal understanding than you.
They got the paragragh that said buyout, skimmed to the original number of 12 million (which was what it was in 2017) and grabbed another contract to read because this project was due in hours.
This is the truth:
1) Stricklin gets fired first;
2) Mullet gets fired shortly thereafter, for cause;
3) The buyout will be about halfish of Butters'.
By the way have you noticed no one coming out and expressing their support for Stricklin? or commented on the articles at all?
Have you noticed Stricklin hasn't even been heard from for 3 weeks?
HilariousSwamp Ass
And if that CEO said it will take three years to return our stock price to normal the sell off would be devastating. But Mullen would have to totally retool his staff- and it's not as if he has a deep assistant coaching pipeline. He probably has no idea who he would hire in place of his staff and most coaches wouldn't likely want to work for him. Sensing that is probably why he's failed to upgrade. The sad truth is that because Mullen let recruiting deteriorate even if he replaced his staff with better assistants and a wiley DC, we are two seasons from being competitive. We really aren't as talented as some would like to believe. And if we do have top 10 talent why are we unranked?Anyone ever see a CEO that just missed 3 quarters of earnings projections speak publicly? It sounds just like Mullen. And they will suffer the same fate. Mullen already knows it.
Im at least twice as smart as I think I am.It would be really cool if you was half as smart as you think you are..
he's lucky he wasn't fired on the spot for the recruiting violation and the subsequent sanctions.
