I Saw the Devil (2010)

Korean horror film (I'm starting a string of them now). Premise is a serial killer is loose, catches a woman and kills her. However, her fiance is a special agent who takes two weeks off to mourn...during which he tracks down the killer and begins a series of catch-and-release torture on the guy. Gore factor runs about 6.5/10, we have seen a lot more blood from Korea, but it's not the central part of the film. Instead, the focus is on our hero (?) becoming a revenge driven monster, and the path our victim(?) follows in trying to escape and then counter. There are some intentionally funny parts, such as a cannibal trying to free his hand and failing or when our killer on the run gets picked up by a taxi that already has a rider...and the driver explains how lucky the killer-hitchiker is getting a ride with how crazy everything is. That taxi scene is good for camera work and blood, but gives a solid laugh when our killer finds what's in the trunk. There isn't much torture porn...there's minor torture, more like executions primarily, and porn of a few (large) korean boobs shown, but not much nudity - again, it isn't the point. We wrap up with a good climax of the killer trying to escape his hunter and turn himself into the police, only to face off with the hunter one more time at the very end. Not suspense, or even shallow twists, nor nekkids or great gore. Just a good film for what it aimed at being. 8/10

The big short was very good. Made me want to kick someone’s ass.. as does waking up.. but very good movie
I just bought a home 1 month ago.

We could have gotten a loan with a 50% debt to income ratio. we would have been broke had we maxed our credit.

In the 1 month we’ve owned the home, the mortgage has been assigned 3 times.

Bad loans are being issued and resold again. There will be another crisis again.

When Mnuchin was RAPIDLY answering questions one day last week, he let slip something that I haven't seen anyone pick up on yet. It was in regard to the $459B going to the Fed (that is then leveraged into trillions through fractional lending)... someone asked a question about the possibility of mortgages becoming delinquent, and in his fast answer, Mnuchin said something to the effect of, "We're on that. We were already concerned about capitalization before this." Then moved on to the next question. That... should... concern... people...

Casablanca

I'll write a review for this awesome classic movie because I had the chance to watch again today for the first time in many years. The basic story is there is a jaded American named Rick (Bogart) who runs a bar in Casablanca after the Germans occupied Paris. Many people trying to flee Europe via Casablanca but permits are very hard to come by. Rick comes into possession of a couple when a smuggler gets nabbed by the Nazis. He really doesn't care about them until his old fling from Paris, Ingrid Bergman, shows up out of the blue with her husband who is a dissident leader. The plot revolves around dodging Nazis, the local cops (Claude Raines is awesome as the French police captain), resolving the relationship with Bergman, and making an escape. One of the truly great films. And BTW, Ingrid Bergman is incredibly hot.

Well the second movie was totally different than the first movie, because the main character was a chick. I have imagined her boobs, and they are not big but definitely perky.

The Big Short: Just watched it for the first time, with Son #2. It's a 2 hour movie that took us 4.5 hours to watch with all the "pause 'n discuss" life lessons. It's a great movie.

Everyone should watch this movie right now and think and reflect and figure out where they stand in the chain today.

Oh, and there are boobs, but sadly, not Margot Robbie's. 9/10. Woulda got a 10/10 with more boobs.

I watched The big short a couple years back and didn’t really care for it. Felt the same way about Vice too. Oddly enough I don’t remember boobs . Such a shame !

Upgrade (2018)

Premise is a future setting as we focus in on a guy who rebuilds classic American muscle cars (most use self driving electronic vehicles) and his wife. Early on, they crash and a gang shows up, kills her and paralyzes him. A super genious offers a micro device inserted onto his neck will take over the communications from brain to body, regaining full functionality...this is a live trial of the device to speed up testing. We find the device actually has it's own voice, and in essence a mind, so the host and device communicate and share control over the body. This leads to Mr. Invalid going around in a wheelchair to find the guys who killed his wife, then the device takes control of the body movements and beats the ever luvin' crap out of them. There are no named actors I could identify, but the lead does a great job of presenting a person fighting for control over their body WHILST having a device use that body like a professional killer. This leads to some pretty good action scenes and camera work. The plot goes a little deeper than I described, putting some meat on the bone as it were. It follows a path you may see coming, but can ride along with that little bit of 'are you sure?' and the ending is pretty good as well. No boobs, sex, CGI, or deep dialogue. Just a cheap action film with a more than minimal depth plotline. 7.5/10

Malibu Spring Break: Terrible movie, but I expected that. I also expected lots of boobs to compensate for the terrible movie. There were lots of boobs, but they were pretty terrible, and not quality enough to offset the movie's terribleness... Not sure how to rate anything on this one... First World problem for sure...

Watched Alita Battle angel with my youngest niece. Don’t know what to call the genre of half animation.. etc. It was actually better than most of the garbage I have watched lately. Clearly no boobage and luckily they didn’t show the dog getting killed.
