Zero chance this would happen. Less than zero.

Anytime we have less than two losses by October 1, Ox is thinking NC.

He still claims Jordan Reed cost us the NC in 2012.

They pick the four "best" teams for the playoff, so the performance of other teams definitely affects whether Florida goes to the playoffs.
For example, if five teams go undefeated, Florida would have very little chance of being chosen since they have a loss. Since Oklahoma now has a loss, that makes it more likely for other teams with one loss to get in.
Conference championships are used as a tiebreaker, not the primary criteria.

He may not have cost us the NC, but he cost us a SHOT at the NC. That's not even disputable.

Could have been the multiple turnovers Driskel had in plus territory, including the endzone pick right before half. Reed’s fumble was just the nail in the coffin.

It cost us a shot in the SEC Championship Game, which we would’ve lost to Bama. Unless you think we would’ve been rewarded with an immediate rematch with Bama (another loss) in the Natty Title game.

Yep Driskel rivaled his Miami and Missouri game Driskeling in that one. People forget because of the ending.

Yes, but there may be other scenarios to consider. A loss for any undefeated team improves Florida's chances. Or any team ranked above the Gators.
College football would melt down of the SEC champ wasn't in the Playoffs. And by college football I mean SEC fans. Which for all intensive porpoises is college football.
