Hmmm. Well ... I spent 22 years in the Army. If you are up on current events you know that meant I was gone a lot and often. I missed a lot of time with my kids, including the first year of one of them. That kinda skews my perspective on things I guess.
I don't see why it is so hard to accept SF would want to stay where he is at for another year. Timing is everything. I know most read that and think it is a point to be made about coaching jobs that are currently opening up and it is a no brainer to leave UCF for one of them. But that doesn't always motivate people that are focused and driven towards a goal. He just had a kid. He has stability. If he truly believes in himself then he knows many jobs will be there for him when he is ready to go.
Anyone in the coaching profession is going to miss one hell of a lot of time with his kids. Period. It's the life they lead. If you can't go all in, you won't make it in coaching.Hmmm. Well ... He was on at halftime I am told.Guys just wondering. Didn't Chip usually do the CBS broadcasts??? Noticed he wasn't there today.
Because they just agreed to it Doesn't seem hard to understand.@JeffBarlis: If the Gators were going to hire Chip Kelly, they would have been free to do so already. Give it a few days, then ask yourself why nothing has been announced.
My gut as well as my understanding of the situation continues to tell me it's still Scott Frost.
Anyone disagree?
Can ESPN use your gut as a source?

@JeffBarlis: Y'all, please stop saying Chip Kelly is coming to Florida. It's so obviously a misdirection, and the sources are weak. Do I have to remind you why McElwain failed – his personality was a bad fit. Kelly makes no sense.Because they just agreed to it Doesn't seem hard to understand.
And there it is. There's no way he stays at UCF unless he truly believes the right opportunity (for him and family) has not appeared yet.UCF could end up going 6-6 next season and suddenly the bloom is off the rose for Frost. He's a fool if he doesn't leave that dump.
I can see the misdirection part but that isn't going to last long. Now as an incentive to get Frost on board makes some sense.@JeffBarlis: Y'all, please stop saying Chip Kelly is coming to Florida.
