After Saban retires, they will hire Dabo. And Dabo has quite a few years to coach yet.
A lot of people seem to think that Dabo to Tuscaloosa is a foregone conclusion after Saban retires. He'll definitely get a call, but he'll just use it to get a fat raise from Clemson. Right now he has Clemson rolling along and essentially has an express pass to the CFP for the foreseeable future, especially with FSU committed to Taggelwain for the next 3-4 more years. Bama fans think they'll get him to leave what he's built out there, when it reality they're more likely to get someone like Cristobal or Locksley.

I know Dabo has ties to Bama, but why leave Clemson. He's built that program and it's his. Why go to Bama to run someone else's program?

Also why would Dabo want to leave the ACC for a much more difficult conference? Right now it looks like Clemson is poised to dominate the ACC just like FSU did in the 90's, which means an annual pass to the CFP. Not to mention, why would Dabo want the added pressure of replacing a coaching legend?

And Clempsun would match Bama dollar for dollar in a bidding war.

Who or what can supplant and end the Bama/Saban dynasty? The NCAA? Retirement? The NFL? Dabo? Urban? Mullen? Riley? The next up and coming head coach?

Discuss!
Time. It gets us all. This too shall pass.

Football, more than any sport, is about focus, discipline, organization and commitment. Look at any great coach and you'll find the common denominator.

We had it in Urban Meyer, in spades, then he flamed out. Saban maintained it at a football-rich university to the point where the momentum became insurmountable.

The only thing stopping Saban other than a brighter flame, which at this point is unlikely, is Saban himself.

One loss with their schedule (or lack there of) next year might do it.

I think the re-emergence of programs like UF, Texas, Oklahoma, Penn St, a few teams in the PAC, and maybe a Nebraska. There are only so many elite recruits. When 75% of your classic powerhouse programs have been nowhere to be found over the last decade it's a lot easier to have a monopoly on all of the talent. Hell, it's what we want and are looking to have in the state of Florida. If we could start being where your top Florida recruits want to go, USC where all your elite California kids want to go, Texas/Oklahoma where all the Texas kids want to go, and so on, then Bama will start to struggle. Saban is not a coaching God; he's a talent whore. A fully loaded UF program with Mullen at the reigns would be a threat to him. Dabo, Meyer, Gus, and Kirby have beaten him when they have less talent. It will take several programs to do it, but it's going to start happening soon, IMO.
