Joe Bradey would be a solid "up and coming" hire, but I strongly doubt he has any interest in College Football. If UF decideds to part ways with Mullen, you bet they will try to use that Show cause NCAA punishment to negotiate down buyout. That being said no way they hire Freeze, who has a lot of baggage, because that will look hypocritical.
I think we end up with another no name division 3 bottom feeder.
Brady’s name has come up in relation to the openings with the Jags and Jets. The obstacle for him is his lack of experience and the struggles Carolina’s had this year punching the ball in. The Panthers rate in the middle of the pack in most offensive statistical areas, but near the bottom in scoring. He’s taken heat for his play calling in certain situations.
A college head coaching gig, esp at a high-profile place like Florida, could provide Brady with important CEO experience and help him prove to NFL teams he’s ready to handle the additional responsibilities that come with the position. Or maybe he falls in love with building a program he can call his own.
Brady himself is no stranger to Florida. He’s a native of Miami Lakes and earned a four-year letter at Everglades High. His knowledge of South Florida could prove important in recruiting.
It’s all speculation. I have no clue if he’d be receptive beyond the common logic I’ve tried applying here. You never know until you knock on someone’s door. It’d certainly be worth the effort.
