With the delay in firing WM, CM came in so late it is wrong to count his first year as a normal year. I would say this is his 2 1/2 year if there is such a thing. He put a coaching staff together in the very worse conditions possible. Add on how WM took us down to the lowest level possible. The slow firing of WM affected a lot of Gator fans for several years. It's still affecting some on this board. They can't help but think it's happening all over again. It was indeed a bitter pill to swallow. WM made me sick. I'm over him now.
I cannot see Michigan beating us after losing 15 starters and this being their first game. That's a lot to overcome. Harbaugh doesn't really impress me. Some coaches are in the right place at the right time. Time will tell. I won't be surprised if he doesn't fulfill their expectations.

2 1/2 year? He didn't come in hardly late if I remember correctly. He was hired about the same month and day Meyer was in 2004. I think Harbaugh didn't come in to Michigan until weeks after Mac got hired.

The biggest issue with the offense has been the OLine. Muschamp left a disgrace of a line and it's taken this long to get what we all hope is a competent OL. Not all of this is on Muschamp though. Recruiting has not been on the level. We didn't push hard enough for JUCOs. While I still believe Summers was a good enough coach, he is not what we needed. Will Davis be better? We're about to find out.

No one is happy about how much time this is taking. We should be further along, but not as much as some on here believe. Mac wasn't an optimal hire, but is adjusting, albeit slower than we want. We have seen improvements in coaching hires, which has led to improvements in recruiting. The last thing we need is people acting like the world is coming to an end. Real progress is happening, just not at a Saban pace.

Saw another tweet that he hasn't missed practice and was only cited to appear not arrested

Sounds like they were burning it in their dorm room and someone called the cops. At least they seem to have stopped physically arresting them for that charge.

This is what I don't get. Who calls the cops because they smell weed these days? :dunno:

I feel like I'm in a time warp back to Muschump's days. Even during that 4-8 season you had people saying no one has ever experienced that many injuries in the history of college football. All kinds of crap. This is Mac's do or die year. Either he swims or sinks. He'll probably get a 4th year regardless of this year's results but we'll know all we need to know about Mac THIS year. No more excuses. Another 4 loss year and we aqll know that he's a 4 loss SEC coach and that's he'll ever be. Mac is recruiting well finally. Great to see. Now, let's see him win some big games. Mmm'K?
He needs to win some big games AND sign Corral and the recruits whom he's gotten to commit.

Especially on the dang football players. I never stayed in a dorm because of coming to UF from CC but I would think you would be asking for big trouble calling the cops for that.

He had more time than meyer. Meyer wasn't hired until after he took Utah to a major bowl and won. It was January when all that went down. Mac actually attended our bowl game and high fived fans at the tailgate, he'd been on the job for about a month at that point.

You can't compare Meyer to Mac in 2 years... Meyer was left with a full roster... Mac was not. It makes a difference.

Oh yea fire the coach after he wins two Eastern
Division and see how many of the really good coaches want the job. And there is the possibility CM could turn out to be a really good coach. Right now we should be pulling together in every way possible. Some on here would never do that. They cannot entertain a positive thought on the Gators. I'm glad I don't live a miserable life like that. I have been married to a very negative person for 54 years. All she ever sees is the negative. She can't help herself. But I have not let her effect my thinking. It's sort of a disease like alcoholism. They don't admit they have it. Thank God when you wake up to a wonderful day.
Well, since most of your posts seem to be totally negative about the folks on here, I'd say you're the negative/miserable one. I'm perfectly happy to bash a guy being paid millions to produce one of the worst offenses in the country for two consecutive years.

I wasnt. Someone made a comment that they were hired at the same time. They weren't. I stated so and provided details to back up my statement.

Trust me, I'm more than aware that Mac and Urban are not comparable.

Wait... are you saying Mac isn't as good as Meyer? You are obviously the only person who thinks this... the rest of the board thinks Mac is better than Meyer, Saban, Spurrier, Bear Bryant, Jimmy Johnson and could succeed in the NFL ....

Students that don't want to be exposed to it. Second hand smoke can be damaging, as can hanging out near the suppliers. Who smokes in a room provided by the university???
